Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The enduring Peregian Beach institution is on top of its game again. French chef Christophe has produced an interesting and original autumn menu, featuring the restaurant’s favourites with some inventive new dishes including zucchini miso noodles, seared scallops with bonito bacon and bisque peals and...ink risotto. Pitchfork is still Peregian’s best restaurant and a must for locals and visitors alike.More

Very homely laid back vibes at this restaurant. Staff are honest and fantastic. They told us the deep fryer was broken today and that the dish I ordered would be panfrried instead. The cauliflower nuggets still tasted fine! The barramundi with kipfler potatoes was delicious....The chocolate tart with Pandan creme and hazelnut chilli ganache was amazing. Great service. Well done!More

Unfamiliar with the area we followed the tried and tested rule of avoiding the tourist hotspots and picking somewhere off the beaten track that was well patronised. Unpretentious setting with an affable Australian host and efficient young waiters. The French chef adds his flair. We...shared four dishes, all of which were excellent, and finished with the lovely Coffee Crème Brulee. Highly recommended.More

This restaurant has great plusses and a few minuses. The service we experienced was exceptional and the ambience if sitting outside is terrific. The one small charred octopus tentacle entree served with hummus and pomegranate was absolutely delicious as was the duck liver pate, but...we all felt the entree servings could have been a little more generous. The main of grass fed beef with truffle jus was also perfectly cooked and delicious while one of our party had the fish and chips for a main but unfortunately the light battered Dory tasted of rancid oil.More

We just enjoyed the best meal we have had in a long time at The Pitchfork. The food was incredible and the service impeccable, but still very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant

The new chef, who we were familiar with, attracted us to give Pitchfork another go. Unfortunately front of house hasn't improved. After being seated we waited 15 minutes to order a drink. With still no attention we got up and left. T.T.

Had a lovely family (5 adults 5 kids) dinner here. Food was excellent (and good value too) and the staff were very understanding in relation to the aforementioned 5 kids! We sat outside, which was pleasant.

Just an excellent restaurant from start to finish. Great, friendly service from our waiter Nicco, exceptional food and a friendly, helpful owner (I didn't get his name unfortunately) and the best food we've had on the Sunshine Coast for a long time. Keep up the...great work, we'll definitely be back.More

We stopped in for a quick lunch and we’re absolutely delighted by the food, wine & service. What a delight! The goats cheese was just delicious & the pan fried fish my husband had was perfectly cooked. Don’t miss dessert either - we shared crème...brûlée & chocolate torte and both were sensational. We’ll be back ….. a lot!More

Whilst the service was a little slow (perhaps understaffed, many restaurants are suffering this post-Covid), the service was friendly, helpful and engaging. Whilst the menu was not extensive, there was enough choice to satisfy. Wide range of wines available (generally $50 to $75 per bottle)...but many can be ordered by the glass. Cocktails, beer and non-alcoholic beverages listed. For lunch we had the mussels and the fish and chips, plus a beer and glass of Rose. Both meals were excellent. The fish, cooked perfectly, the batter light, chips crunchy. The mussels were in a broth that was as good as anything we have had (mussels being a favourite dish at home for us). Overall, a very enjoyable luncheon experience.More

Great spot for lunch. We were celebrating a birthday with 11 people. The service was great and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back. It was a Sunday so the markets next to the beach was on. So an extra bonus. Very relaxing spot.

We have eaten here many many times over the years and must admit the new owner seemed to have a rocky start. But that appears to all be in the past and everything was back as it was previously. Excellent food with the entrees the...stand out, school prawns, baked goats' cheese and chicken skewers 10 out of 10. Wine was very reasonable with a good range of bottles or by the glass. Staff very pleasant and efficient. I thought the fish and chips looked a bit ordinary, but the two eating them said they were good (should mind my own business in future) All in all a lovely lunch and would recommend.More

I certainly picked up a spelling mistake (too quick on the keys!) but apostrophe abuse? Hmmm, where? Curious..
