We had a wonderful meal here. We actually walked from Acquaseria to the Restaurant,( not for the faint hearted as it's mainly road with no pavement). But it was well worth it when we arrived. A tiny outdoor platform awaited us on a rustic cobbled street on a hill. The service was nice and relaxed and not an English person... More

Classy restaurant but very reasonably priced. The lovely ladies in the kitchen hand make all the pasta and present interesting, rustic and genuine Italian Secondi Platti - the veal, the rabbit - it is all fabulous. If you can get a table outside, well then - you're in the picture perfect postcard! Sofia is fantastic at front of house -... More

Probably the most authentic place we visited on our trip and well worth it. Fantastic homecooked food, I particularly recommend any of the pasta and desserts! The staff were very friendly, the service great and the chef even makes an appearance. Would definitely recommend

Just a short amazing walk to this beautiful restaurant for amazing food. This building is from the 14th century. They obviously have added some space but the charm is all throughout! Local cheese from the hills, hand made pasta, wonderful chocolate cake and the chef visits and in our case took our order. (Americans who aren't yet on local dinner... More

We spend our summers very near this charming restaurant but had not visited it until today. We'll be going back...often Sitting at the base of the castle that overlooks the lakefront village, makes the location ideal. However, don't expect a view. You're in the center of the ancient village. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff could not... More

Loved this place, reminiscent of meals made by my Italian friends mothers, all local produce, no hype or pretense, I think family run, and great service and advice on day specials, wine etc, if you go there take the advice. And a very picturesque walk down stone walled alley.

Were the only customers in, apart from two other couples, which should have been a warning! The owner was very nice but the food, local dried fish from the lake (very salty) and buckwheat pasta with cheese (homemade, but extremely heavy and swimming in butter) not very appetising. Would not recommend or return.

Wife and I were staying in a villa half a mile above Rezzonico in late September and went into the village to forage for dinner instead of driving the five miles to Maggiore, discovered the Ristorante Lauro (also a nine-room pension) down a narrow, cobbled walkway. The décor was a drab brown, like an old German gasthaus. It was clearly... More

We (3 of us) had a lunch here of pasta, the food was of a good quality, the location sitting outside in a small street leading down to the lake was quite peaceful and despite the heat of the day very pleasant. The lady who served us was very hospitable and friendly, overall an experience we would want to repeat... More

We went as a group of three during the Easter period and were surprised to find that the restaurant was very quiet. The food, based on lake fish, was really good. The menu is not fancy or pretentious - don't expect anything other than traditional lake cooking. There were several rather good paintings by a local artist on the walls,... More
