Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- If you are into paper/cardboard product, this is a good place to shop - By meeting their minimum purchase, you get multiple cardboard slides or even a cardboard train ride around the shops.

We spent about 30 min here with the teenagers thrilled to go on the slide and also fascinated with all things that could be made of cupboard. Worth a go just to see if you have not been to a carton king.

In our Cingjing trip, my kiddo finds this place most exciting, why? Because it has a huge slide just as it’s main entrance. In addition, there is some other kids ride and games machines.

Whatever that can be made with paper material will be made that way here - even the most unsuspecting things such as sofas, kiddy train (it’s free if you spend above NT300, and adults can ride too!), etc. The concept is novel and clever. The designs are interesting and innovative. The kiddy train runs through and outside the shop itself. Come to be inspired.

The cartoon king is full of paper arts. Nice to visit. There is a slide for kids to play with. Besides, there is a small train riding inside the shop, with charges.

After a 2 hours’ hike in the rain, a hot meal is very much welcomed. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The place is full of interesting things to look at. They also gave tiny house for young kids to make while waiting for their meal. Food is good - ate the hot pot and the pork cutlet rice.

Well, we didnt expect much when we added this to our itineraries other than a stop for lunch. But end up we spent almost 2-3 hours at this stop-over and had so much fun hopping in and out of the train (FOC when u purchase over a certain amount) and down the slide. It was really fun and relaxing. Almost everything was made up of cardboard, even the chairs in the restaurant! There were many cool and cheap souvenirs to grab at the shop at level 1! Mum also won the grand prize, a xmas tree made up of paper from the lucky draw. Really really worth a visit and do allocate some spare time if u r here with kids.

Basically a restaurant near Little Switzerland that have very very average food. 5 set meals will cost you close to NTD$2000. There is a souvenir store that sells item that are made of carton boxes at level 1 They offer you free mini train ride tickets if you spend that much.

This place is picturesque. We came here to snapped some photos and tried out their tea and coffee. We ordered Assam Tea and it was delicious but the coffee is slightly below the par (fyi, I like my coffee strong so it may not be to my liking :)). We have fun sliding down the slide and it save us time walking down to level 1 ;) If this is the first time you visit Cingjing, you should at least visit here once.

All things made of cardboard... Each entry ticket comes with a card which we could collect a stamp by visiting the 8 places listed on it. Get a free DIY cardboard house with a fully stamped card. Had great fun walking through all the creations made with cardboard - from chairs to tables, classroom, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower even a moving train... Besides cafes, there are also many gift shops selling interesting souvenirs, check out all of them! Not a very big place but it's packed with many amazing cardboard creations - worth admiring!

Interesting little stop. Everything here is made out of paper/cardboard (hence the name Carton King) and there is a little choo choo train that runs through the place - charming. Admission is 200 NTD each (120 for seniors) which is off settable against purchases in the gift shop and cookie shop above, so good value.

The Carton King at Cingjing is quite small. To really enjoy their creation, their theme park at Da Keng is a better choice so make the effort to go there first before going to Cingjing if not, after your visit to the highlands

This restaurant was interesting. Literally almost everything was made out of cartons. Food was acceptable, but bit overpriced IMHO. Yet, it was an exciting experience eating and drinking from cartons.
