If you’re staying in Uluwatu, I highly recommend walking down to Bingin beach for the best value for money you’ll get on your whole trip. Heads up there’s around 500 stairs to climb, so flat shoes are essential. Grab a seat on the beach and watch the sunset as you devour some of the freshest seafood you’ve ever had. Our tips: Take cash, and share 1kg of prawns. Best $15 spent! All seafood comes with rice and greens to share.

The best spot on Bingin Beach.... At high season the whole each is packed with fish bbq options at sunset and this one is the best, freshest, and even at the lowest point of tourism this spot is open and busy because it's also a staple for the local expat/ surf community. Live music, great drinks, perfect smoothies, and the best dim sum around! the list goes on and on. you're the lucky one if you make it to this restaurant.

We stayed in Sun & Surf Stay next door and so this was the most convenient place for food and drink with a view. I think their food would sell out quite fast, e.g. once they told us no more mineral water and another time bbq sold out. Guess they were quite popular and the food could be limited. The food was ok. Not bad and also not to die for too. The drinks were big-glass (good deal for the price but I think that was prob the standard in that area), the dessert came with melted ice cream in a cup, the mee goreng was a tad too salty and the BBQ fish was fresh, nice and big. Don't expect top-notch service but they were still happy to serve if you go to them.

This is a must do when you stay in Uluwatu. Very chilled out evening and cheap drinks (cocktails and beer) and fish is cooked to order which is excellent and delicious. Get there around 1730 so 1) you can see the amazing sunset and 2) you’ll beat the queue to order your fish and trust me, the queue can take a while. Lovely food and even better view!

Great little place, shared with the Fish BBQ downstairs. It's actually quite confusing because it exists on the maps as two businesses but you can buys the bbq fis downstairs and eat upstairs in the lounge. The BBQ fish is absolutely worth it, great set of condiments, after all you are in sambal territory. Great place for sunset, listening to live band, sipping cocktails and eating great seafood.

Beautiful sunset location and great BBQ seafood. Arrive 1hr+ before the sun sets to ensure you get a table and can pick your fish during peak seasons. Food takes around 1hr+ to be served so make sure you're not in a rush to get elsewhere / are happy to sit for a while.

Lucky Fish Lounge is on the beach at Bingin in Uluwatu. It is a seriously good place. Good food at reasonable prices, healthy options, great service and lots of choices. The staff are really friendly. Great for breakfast, but also great for food at any time of the day, and the beers are cold in the afternoon/evening. Its right on the beach so great for sunset drinks. There are several restaurants along this strip but Lucky Fish is the best of them by a long way. They also have a seafood barbecue on the beach (downstairs) where you can select freshly caught fish or seafood and they will cook it for you. Beautiful food, well prepared and well presented. Please be aware the seafood barbecue is cash only. I really enjoyed Lucky Fish and went there every day while I was at Bingin. The only negative is the monkeys that hang around the upstairs. They can be quite aggressive, so keep your belongings safe and maybe dont sit in the very front row.

If you arrive at 8am when they supposed to be opened, they’re still cleaning and get mad with you for be there at that time, looking at the watch before give the menu to you. It get worst if you have the breakfast included with the hotel , they treat you as you’re not paying at all. Never again!

If you like fresh fish on the BBQ then Lucky Fish is the place for you. A great place for lunch or an evening meal watching the sunset. Sharing a whole fish between two is ample and its cheap. If you’re down there for sunset, choose your table wisely as the tide does come in quite a way and before you know it you’re surfing.

Delicious food, excellent location, good prices. When we went to see the fish we were initially concerned because there were flies buzzing around — we ordered anyway and were very glad that we did! The food was delicious and so fresh, the prices were good and the live music was excellent!! The atmosphere was amazing so we ended up staying for a while afterwards listening to the live music. We are quite nervous eaters while travelling abroad as we are worried about getting ill, but the food was was great and it was an excellent experience.

Like most of the beach side venues in Uluwatu, this places takes some navigating to find - but, once you reach the beach, you’ll reach lucky fish. I went down to enjoy sunset via the balcony of lucky fish - I enjoyed a snack and a cocktail. Reasonably priced, good service, walk up service. There were live musicians and the meals coming out looked delightful. It’s worth the stairs up and down Bingin Beach to enjoy some time at lucky fish.

Imagine... sitting beachside, water lapping below you, music softly piped above, mouthwatering food, drinks to suits any taste from teas and coffees to local and imported octanes, relaxed people of all ages strolling in off the beach for yummy sustenance... and an ocean view that extends beyond... the sunset. And all at Bali prices. You’ll find it here. Come visit.
