As a Kamala resident since 1996, I have seen restaurants come and go in Kamala. Lillo's deserves all the accolades - it is by far the best in Kamala, and in the top league in Phuket overall. Even the nearby 5star hotel restaurants are not anywhere near Lillo's in terms of food selection, presentation, taste, size of portions, very attentive service and very reasonable prices. Khun Jane and her amazing crew are super attentive, table settings are perfect, ..this place is actually beyond 'Excellent'.
With its location right on the beach, facing west, ..a perfect place for sunset drinks and dinners.

We visited 3 times in our recent trip to Phuket - it would have been more but unless you arrive before 6pm, you need to queue. The staff are amazing and the food is fantastic. My kids loved the pizzas and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the local dishes - the yellow noodles were a favourite.
The vanilla shake is excellent!

A great spot for lunch and one of only three places open on this stretch when I visited this week.
Not sure how the staff manage to stay so positive and happy when the area was virtually deserted but they always greet with a smile and give great service. Food is delicious and fresh and it is the perfect spot to while away a few hours over a long lunch.
I really hope they, and the other places along this beach stretch, manage to get through the tourist lockdown as it would be sad to see even more places closed.
Good luck guys!!

Worst meal in Thailand! This place was supposed to be great, but our experience was the total opposite. Don’t waste your money here. Go a few doors up to Smile and you’ll have a great meal and receive fantastic service! Details as to why it was shocking.... they were busy and we were happy to wait. They finally arranged a table and it took ages to get a menu. When we ordered, I specifically asked for no chillies in my basil beef, and there were heaps of chillies to the point that it was inedible for me. My husband ordered the fried chicken wings which never arrived after the other 7 meals had been in the table for 15 minutes and they kept saying that they were coming but they never did. My sons pad Thai beef was brought out with 3 bits of meat that we couldn’t even find any of it and when I questioned it, they took it back and the meat was then obvious but we also realise that it was pork not beef at all. It was really dark😩. When someone else was ordering their meal they asked for Papaya Salad with only 1 chilli and the waitress said no there must be 2.... and basically argued with her. Sure enough, her salad was too spicy but she paid for it anyway. There were also only a handful of tables so it wasn’t that they were busy. The customer service was terrible despite there being a heap of staff. The food was average and our group of 8 left very disappointed. Go elsewhere.... Smile, Pond or even Oiy in Kamala Village. The only positive was that they allowed the group to split the bill and they took off the mythical chicken wings from the bill!

We must say that your claim of “worst meal in Thailand” is grossly unfair considering the various changes your group of 8 demanded to some of the Thai dishes that you ordered.
When you asked us not to include chilies in the papaya salad and other traditionally spicy dishes, we tried to explain and advise you that without chilies, the taste would be bland.
We have many dishes that are not spicy, including many dishes specifically for children.
However, as you insisted that we should adapt our authentic Thai food to your particular preferences, we did our best to cater to your wishes.
Unfortunately, the results were as we expected, and we ended up serving you food that deviated from our tried and tested menu.
Regarding the order of fried chicken wings, perhaps you are not aware that your husband canceled the order shortly after ordering.
We are also quite confident that there was no mix up with the pork and beef dishes as we take great care in separating these two meets in all stages of preparation for strict hygiene protocal.
However, it is understandable that you may have mistaken the beef for pork as we do in fact use grade-A beef, which has a texture that is similar to pork because our beef is not as tough as lower grade beef.
Despite your dissatisfaction, we would like to thank you. In future we will refrain from changing our dishes to that advertised on the menu, and if customers wish to eat dishes that are not on our menu then we will politely but firmly advise them to eat elsewhere.

We stayed at the resort just a few weeks after they opened years ago, and returned to Phuket recently. We were delighted to see the restaurant was still open, given the many closures at other beaches. We had two meals there, and the food quality is still excellent, considering the prices. The quality of the lab moo tod, fish with curry and coconut milk, soft shell crab with garlic and pepper and the grilled squid, was excellent. The staff are really friendly and helpful and set us up with chairs on the beach after we ate. Also ask for the shrimp chips with chili paste - I don't think I saw them on the menu, but they are available!

Right on the beach a 10 minute walk from the new intercontinental you will find a delightful restaurant serving European and Asian food. We only chose Thai dishes but we're all well prepared and with very good presentation. Considering the location it was very well priced and would definitely go back

Food and service both great. The restaurant is clean and right on the beach so you can watch the sunset while eating!
We ordered various Thai dishes , all of which had generous portions and priced appropriately. Will be going back for sure!

After having read about it we have it a chance and we're seated at the bar to wait for our table. Very crowded and a high tempo in the restaurant. The service were great at first and we got our table fast. Our starter, mussels were tasteful but the main of marinated beef was quite dry, the pad thai on the other hand was better. We order more drinks but they never came so we paid instead and left. It seems the staff had it under control in the beginning but after a while it became kind of messy considering orders, bills and such. Definitely a good choice by the beach.

Myself and my partner stumbled across this restaurant/bar on our way to cafe del mar. We could not have had a better experience, drinks by the waterfront listening to the waves crashing. The cocktails are delicious and service.. even better! The staff couldn’t be more friendly or attentive and they brought us non stop complimentary snacks. 10/10 from me - a must visit in the Kamala beach area!!

What a rip off. They advertise large draught beer at 100 baht. What you get is a small draught been in a heavy glass tankard. When they set out to cheat you from the start what hope is there for a decent standard of food or service

The price of a draught beer at Lillo Island has not changed in 7 years. The glasses used are the standard glasses provided by Sigha. We are confident that most of our customers are quite happy to pay only 100 baht for an ice-cold draught beer at a bar right on the beach with a magnificent sunset view, which in comparison is about the price of two cans from a supermarket.

We've been to Lillo's many many times before and food has become very average. Attention to detail in what and how they cook and serve is non-existent. Food not tasty, prawns not cleaned, pizza bases soggy with minimal toppings, prices not cheap and frenzy rushing around staff with no-one in charge to manage them. Lovely setting which is the drawcard, but sadly no longer the very average food. Many other places around in the area where the food is really better and well priced as well.

I have visited a few times and absolutely loved each time. The staff are great. They will set up a chair and table in the beach so you can enjoy the sunset with a cold beer. The dinner menu is outstanding the food is very good. Prices and very reasonable considering you are right on the beach!

The restaurant overlooks the beach, offering a picturesque view of the beautiful blue sea. It serves a combination of Western cuisine and Thai dishes. During our visit, my family and I ordered shrimp cakes, soft shell crab, lemon grass fried fish, tom yum, and green curry. However, the tom yum and green curry turned out to be too spicy for our liking. Despite my dad's request for less spiciness, as a child, you might want to give them a try. On the other hand, the shrimp cakes were packed with shrimp meat and were quite delicious. The lemon grass fried fish stood out as it had a tender texture and a delightful aroma. I highly recommend trying the lemon grass fried fish.

We chose this restaurant at random on our first night, were so impressed we came back the next night and enjoyed a bottle of wine while watching the sunset on the chairs they have on the beach. We then moved to the restaurant for dinner which was again to a very high standard. Staff are lovely and friendly and we will definitely eat here again if in the area.

The four of us went to Lilo probably 10 times, either for dinner or lunch. The staff is efficient, works well, brings the dishes quickly. Everything is delicious. A couple of times they brought me a diluted mango shake, I asked to change it. I liked their creme brulee, I took it with with us, left a deposit of 100 baht per saucer. Almost always full boarding. We always left a generous tip, for which, from the first day they remembered us. And then we came in, sat down at the table, and asked to prepare food with us, they said If you are waiting, move to the bar counter, and we have cleared a table for other people. Since they cook quickly enough, the wait did not take much time, however, I would like more respect for myself, so 4 stars for this moment)
