We were staying a few doors down at Swissotel, we went once, was nice, no complaints but wouldn’t have raved about. But the second time we were really impressed. We ordered spaghetti for our girls (much to our annoyance, hate ordering western food in Thailand), and they inhaled it!!! We ordered red curry chicken- Thai spicy- it was the best dish of the whole holiday!! We returned the following day and had another great experience (I had mango sticky rice which was amazing). The pool is beautiful and we enjoyed it at lunch. Owner seems French, staff are polite and friendly. There’s plenty of space and pool tables at one end. Really impressed and highly recommend

Conveniently close to our hotel, the Radisson, it would still be well worth a trip for the excellent food, both Thai and Western. French-owned, so you would expect high standards and you are not disappointed. In actual fact we have enjoyed some excellent Italian dishes as much as the Thai ones. The dessert menu is very hard to resist and shows much more originality than most restaurants in the area. Prices are reasonable and the service delightful. Highly recommended.

We stumbled across this restaurant, and what a pleasant surprise. The food was great. I'm a wine fan and the house white wine was excellent, chilled perfectly. The menu is extensive. Little.things like the tomato and mozzarella was fantastic drizzled in lovely balsamic sauce. The fried rice is enough for two, the red curry was great. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly

We ordered filet steak, we had probably a frozen meat, we talked to the boss and he just denied and walked away. Really really bad behavior and obvisuisly he had something to hide. I cannot recomand this place 👎🏻

Visited for dinner for 2 adults and 3 kids. The menu had a good range of items for the kids and adults. Service was quick and the food was very good. It’s a nice little restaurant away from the main beach and the ceiling fans over each table make it really comfortable on a hot evening

Fresh fish, large portions. We tried grilled sardines, duck with nuts, meatballs with mashed potatoes, fried vegetables - everything was very tasty!
The description mentions “French cuisine” - represented only by snails and one French salad. Quite a lot of non-Thai dishes (pizza, pasta, fast food, salads). In the evening, when there are a lot of people, orders can go wrong - in a group of 4 people, one person forgot to prepare an order. In the end, they brought it when the others had already eaten.
In principle the place is good. Can be recommended.

Chanced upon Alex Baan Mai in Phuket on way to Radisson hotel. It’s a very beautiful shack like restaurant with excellent old world simple but elegant ambience. The food was nice and the staff extremely friendly, warm and hospitable. We ordered Chicken satay and some other food along with beer and cocktail. Chicken satay was good. The desert - Pain Perdu was an excellent dish. It was sort of green toast but simmered in coconut milk with ice cream on top. Not very expensive. Waitress named Plah was very enthusiastic and eager to serve.

Stayed not far from here, it’s just off the beaten track but don’t let that put you off. In fact it has a lovely authentic Thai feel about it.
We ordered a mix of Thai and Western food. Everything we had was delicious and very generous portions.

Our family (2 adults & child 10) were looking forward to eating here however the food was very average to say the least and we ended up with food poisoning. The next day we were vomiting our meals and were stuck in our hotel room for days. This was our first meal in Thailand and ruined our vacation. Our 10 year old had never been so sick, the pain lasted for a week, to see your child go through that trauma is terrible. The photos are old - there is no pool. The restaurant area is dark and dull with no atmosphere. Really disappointing.

Appalling service! We asked for a sweet and sour dish for our children and tripled check with the waitress to make sure it is not spicy. My son, had one bite and said it was spicy, he drank half a bottle of water and cried his eyes out! We saw that they put some chili in the dish! They claimed it was for “colour”, but it sure did still have a kick! Waitress continued to argue with us over this! She definitely ruined what was supposed to be a relax and enjoyable meal!

A quiet atmosphere with lovely traditional Thai food. The staff were excellent with recommendations on food and drink and well priced
