We had the barracuda - the sause that came with was very tasty. Drinks were strong. Asked for shrimp fried rice but there was also chicken in it - which one member of our party doesn't eat. Had fries and hotdogs for the kids.

We ate here 4 times during our 9 day stay at Kamala Beach. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced and the service was quick. I enjoyed the deep fried prawns the best and my husband liked the stir fry, especially the prawns. The papaya salad was also good. The beer was cold and the cocktails were just okay, but on a whole the cocktails at Kamala Beach were substandard. Go for the beer. The restaurant is popular so either reserve a table or go earlyish.

Most of the eclectic cuisine here is a very poor stab at satisfying nobody. This place is a vast improvement on that. Outstanding whole snapper with a spicy Thai sauce that lifts it; black pepper squid with just enough bite and plenty of tenderness. French (or Belgian) crepes with vanilla ice cream and flaming calvados. Very very satisfying. Excellent waitress. Cash only but very reasonable for the quality. Vastly better than other Western-owned joints. Hats off to the French owners and Thai staff.

Best restaurant in Phuket.

Great restaurant in Kamala Beach, french ownerand the food reflects this. Good friendly service with a choice of Thai and European dishes. My favourite was the Lemon Sole fillet with a butter lemon sauce for only 350 Baht, about £8, the banana pancake with ice cream for dessert was also fantastic. Highly recommended for both European and Thai dishes.

Amazing Thai food!

Blue Manao was recommended by a friendly local hotelier to me when I enquired about options for authentic Thai food at Kamala. There is no surprises here, most of the foods are what you would expect from a decent Thai restaurant in term of the varieties and the taste. Customer service is good as well. Overall, would recommend Blue Manao for travellers who seek for good Thai food at Kamala Beach.

A bit disappointed.

I was here for dinner with my wife. The place seemed busier than other places which encouraged us to give it a try. Prices were honestly quite affordable and the service was OK. Food was a kinda bland and not as good as we expected. We were not expecting superior quality and flavors for the price but it was still a bit Bellow what we were expecting. Those strong Thai flavors were not there. Apparently they make the TOURIST version of Thai food.

Good food, good prices, great service!

Glad to have found this place, we had our meals here on consecutive days. Food: They don't skimp on the portions and they are value for money. The mango sticky rice is da bomb! It was so good, I bought extra for breakfast for the following day. If you like spicy thai food, dont forget to ask for the authentic thai version instead of the tourist version. Service: The servers are polite and friendly to our young children, they even helped us to call for a taxi when it was raining heavily. They have clean toilets available inside the restaurant too, that is a plus point. Will visit if we are back in Kamala again!

Simply Sumptuous

This is a quality restaurant offering a variety of meals to satisfy the most discerning diners. A longtime favourite of ours and we were very happy to note that service and meals maintained that outstanding quality that we had previously enjoyed. My wife decided selected the crumbed prawns and I the rendang chicken & steamed rice, both of us agreeing afterwards that we had made excellent choices. The white wine and beers had just the right chill factor to be really enjoyed. Friendly greeting on arrival and impeccable service during our meal. Highly recommended.

Such a great place

I have eaten here twice, love it. I have had the chicken with garlic and pepper...if I could have picked the plate up and licked it I would have...the sauce was amazing. The people who work here are very nice and attentive. The place is packed, so make a reservation. I will be back again.

Consistently Delicious! Our favorite place in Kamala.

We've spent quite a bit of time in the Kamala Beach area, and Blue Manao is by far our favorite restaurant. Even when we've stayed in some of the fancier resorts, we still get dinner at Blue Manao. The food is incredibly fresh, the flavors are fantastic and the staff is lovely. Can't ask for much more. Especially convenient for take away! We will continue to return!

The food is amazing. Fast service and English menu cards. We were sitting inside but it had a lot of fresh air coming from the outside because all the doors were open. There were 2 stray cats that came inside because of the rain and personally I loved it that they allow them to shelter inside. However, if you don’t like cats or if you’re allergic I would watch out.

I've lived here 12 years and I eat here often (mostly takeout). Eat-in or takeout, it's easily the best restaurant in Kamala, and the owner is quite friendly. Like a lot of smaller restaurants there'll be a wait when the orders queue up.

We went here because of the good reviews. It is always quite full, so we were happy to get a seat. Reservations are therefore recommended. The food was really delicious, everything tasted good. From the starter to the delicious dessert (mango with sticky rice) - everything was well seasoned and very tasty. The wine selection is also impressive, and was widely used at the neighboring tables. The only thing that spoiled the overall experience was the feeling at the end that they wanted to get rid of us quickly after the meal so that the table could be occupied by someone else. Very positive: Card payment was free of charge and possible with our bill amount! Conclusion: Very delicious but also very busy - reservations strongly recommended!

We ate at Blue Manao twice and were very satisfied. The noodle soup was better than in Vietnam. ;) If you want to eat authentically in Kamala but with comfort, this is the place for you. Great service, great food! Small tip: “a little bit spicy” is more than enough… Everything else is only for mouths that have tried and tested Thai style! :)

Very good food at good prices

The restaurant is located on the parallel street of Kamala Beach. It has been really very well attended. It is a small but fine restaurant as they like to say. The staff are very fast and Mega Friendly! Even our food came really fast. If you want your dish hotter, you should let me know. It is very adapted to the European palate. Which is not to say that it is less aromatic. Our dishes were very delicious and the prices were fair.
