Amazing carvery on a Sunday, later in the year, also on a Wednesday evening too but best to phone for popular times or occasions. The ambience is lacking style and seating in the function room is basic. The room is the adjacent side to the public bar. It is used at other times for skittles and open mic nights, as... More

Hand my special birthday here was wonderful. The owners do everything they can to help with your event. The carvery is amazing very reasonably priced too. Entertainment is free and you can also feel free to join in. Skittle ally pool table available also a downstairs room.

Popped in Sunday lunchtime to see what lunch would be like. Really lovely, friendly, clean and delicious hot beautifully served carvery with a choice of beef, pork and gammon. All three were lovely. The veg, there were plenty of choices along with the usual yorkies etc and the roast pots looked lovely. Perfect for a Sunday lunch and from next... More

A really friendly pub, with excellent, quick service and nice food. There was lots of choice at the carvery & plenty of puddings to choose from too. But I'd go back again just for the service alone.

My sister and brother in law recently had their wedding reception and evening do at The Colcombe Castle. We were all made to feel very welcome by the landlord and landlady. The food provided for the wedding reception and evening buffet was excellent. I would highly recommend The Colcombe Castle as a venue for either a special family occasion or... More

The Sunday carvery really hit the spot after a long morning walk and enjoyed by all, sorry to say no room for desert. We returned Sunday evening for the free cinema night and had a great time. I would highly recommend it and getting there early to manoeuvre the sofas into the perfect spot

Saw Sunday carvery on the board outside and decided to try it. Very nice meal at a good price. Landlord was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the chats with locals at the bar. Otter beer was a positive. Recommended.

I visited this lovely, traditional pub with my family. The carvery was great, with the meats and veg cooked perfectly, the atmosphere was very good with lots of other families enjoying their lunches. Tom, the landlord was most pleasant and very friendly. We later returned in the evening to enjoy some drinks and the live music. I would highly recommend... More

Came here for a traditional Sunday lunch and from the noticeboard £8.95 seemed like a reasonable price. However, this isn't very reasonable when nothing is fresh! All frozen or tinned produce. The roast potatoes weren't even homemade and were from a packet and very hard indeed. I think they must be getting a great profit because I could've got the... More
