Before we left to spend a week up near Haliburton I found out that Henrietta's Bakery would be open the first week of January. I know they do close at some point. We were nearly at the end of our week's visit before weather allowed us to drive to Dwight. First time we've been there out of season and it... More

This is a popular local bakery in Dwight, midway between Huntsville and Algonquin Park. Make sure to stop and pick up some delicious bakery goods such as sausage rolls, bread for sandwiches, or pastries for your picnic in the park.

I cannot say enough good things about Henrietta's Pine Bakery. I have been visiting every year for the past 4 years and it is always a highlight. The pastries are unbelievable and the closest thing to homemade Croatian strudel I have seen. The bacon cheese bowties aren't for the light of heart, but taste so damn good. On top of... More

This place is fantastic. They have the best baked goods I have ever had. There is a good reason for the line being out the door! Definitely recommend you go early, or you will have to wait awhile (but it's worth it!)

On our way home from Algonquin Park we stopped for a sweet treat and a few meat pies for dinner that night. The meat pies were the best I have ever had. They were full of fresh flavourful meat with tasty sauce and homemade crust. I wish I had bought a few dozen to freeze. Next year I will try... More

Every year we go to a friend's cottage about 10 mins from Henrietta's. We always stop there to get some baked treats for after dinner and with coffee. I love the Chinese Chew and their variety of squares and pastries is fantastic! You can also get gourmet sandwiches and meat or vegetable pasties (like an empanada sort of) if you... More
