Been many years ago with lasting good memories, we hoped for a similar experience. Without a booking usually there is a slim chance... But got there just past 7.30pm, and asked for a table... The only available one was inside, on the window overlooking ponza port and bay. So far so good..
Polpo, fiori di zucca, a local fish all'acqua pazza, lentils soup, and scarola later we felt more than satisfied, content by the attentive service, the excellence of each single dish and the lovely surroundings.
If you are more than two booking is essential as they tend to do one sitting per table only. If you there, take you time!!

For years every summer I return with pleasure to the terrace of David to satisfy both the palate and the view.
For years your cuisine and service have been at the top of the island of Ponza, for the quality of the raw material, for the cuisine always above average and in general for the attention to the customer (which is not always possible in summer premises).
This time we tried the NOVELTY of the place: the FROZEN fish (few restaurants in Italy offer this technique the "maturing of fish" invented by an Australian chef).
We took as an appetizer several dishes with tuna, sword etc sliced as cold cuts and I can guarantee that the uncooked but matured fish as treated by Eea with special refrigerator and controlled treatment protocol is exceptional. The first tagliolini with bottarga and cannolicchi di mare really superior
Obviously the price is fully adequate to the quality of the food you can find in a TOP place like Eea

With a group of friends we stayed to eat at this restaurant.
The managers were very professional following the Reservation, confirming several times and also asking if we wanted to change tables, as a better one had opened up.
Excellent service and waiters.
As an appetizer some of us tasted the novelty of “matured” fish. I must say that opinions were mixed, while on the tuna loin they were almost unanimous and negative. These matured fish, whose culinary audacity we appreciated, affected the 5 stars that I would surely have given to the dinner and the place.
However superb view, great food and well presented, fresh and well prepared fish and excellent service.
The bill was a bit high, but considering the wines and the fact that we are on an island, we accepted it.

The place is a bit overrated. We had a dinner here with some friends and the food was ok but not as special and tasty as expected. I personally had a plate with raw fish (crudo di mare) and honestly I did not find it good/qualitative enough for the price paid. The service was ok, but overall the staff was not very friendly.

The expectations for the evening were very high, unfortunately they were not fully satisfied. Stunning location but dinner took a turn for the worse immediately after the starters. Small unfortunate parenthesis regarding the raw food, of which there is no doubt regarding the freshness of the raw material, but there are many other restaurants on the island with a much better quality/price ratio. The first ones in general are nothing sensational.
In particular, the risotto with red prawns with a brown base which is one of the most expensive first courses on the menu.
It had a weak flavor and little character where there was barely a fishy aftertaste.
We conclude the meal with desserts, the pastries are bold and elaborate in the presentation of the dishes, it must be said that the particularity found in the latter is very different from the flavors and textures in the desserts. The fig tart tasted only of mascarpone and was impossible to cut.
The service is confusing, in a restaurant like this one expects to be served differently, while there are some quite salient gaps: spoons placed on the table without a tablecloth or napkin when changing cutlery, plates to be passed to waiters who do not they don't even bother to go around to take them from each diner and the first to arrive several minutes apart from each other.
We would have been happy to pay the bill if the overall quality of the evening had been up to par.

Halfway through a weekend on a sailing boat in the Pontine Islands, we stop in Ponza for dinner. They reserve a table for us inside, but the view of the illuminated port of Ponza through the glass window is still amazing.
We order the dishes of the day, sautéed razor clams and pozzogna with capers and tomatoes: both delicious and really well cooked. In general, a delicate palatability that doesn't weigh you down and makes you appreciate more what you're tasting.
We also tasted an octopus appetizer, spaghetti with clams, slice of amberjack, scapece courgettes and pan-fried escarole.
For dessert, a tart with cream and figs and mango sorbet with Port.
As an accompaniment, we were recommended a local wine, Levante, which was an interesting surprise!
In conclusion, excellent dinner, excellent service (except for a small mix-up in the serving size which the staff expertly managed to remedy immediately - excellent plus!).
Price absolutely in line with expectations.

Extremely disappointing experience. The refinement with which the dishes are presented does not authorize you to bring dull foods to the table, without flavor or identity... and above all to charge the customer an arm and a leg. Personally, my starter with porchettato tuna was disturbing, the risotto with prawns (24 euros) was cold and tasted more like rice with oil than fish. But then 3 euros for bread (untouched!!). The view is certainly very beautiful, but either improve the quality of the cuisine or it will be tough. In any case, 2 appetizers, a first course, a second course, 2 desserts, water and 2 glasses of wine 130 euros!!!!!!!!!!! Without flavour. Better to end it here.

In the unstoppable decline Ponza still holds some excellence. EEA is one of them. The fatigue of some steep steps is immediately removed from the view of the terrace and the splendid and punctual welcome of the staff. Dishes that tell stories, moments, emotions and that sometimes make room for a careful reinterpretation of the same. Special booking management, but always helpful and polite. My partner says she has never eaten a spaghetti with clams for celiacs so good!
Prices a bit high but worth it.
You are an eternal confirmation.

The restaurant enjoys a breathtaking terrace. The cuisine is really level, distinguishing itself from the others for the refinement of the materials and their preparation. All delicious starting from the bread that is homemade. Portions are right for the type of restaurant. The tables seemed quite spaced and the price in line with the above. To eat from EEA you must book in advance. I would have given full marks but I penalize two factors: 1. the service, sometimes confused: often the room manager made sure that the command had been taken, the somelier did not remember the wines at the service; 2. the table assigned to us placed right next to three large noisy fans and that in the end made us tear. We could only have been moved halfway through dessert... too late.

The location is a beautiful terrace overlooking the port of Ponza, beautiful. Level restaurant, with special dishes and well studied by the chef, which were explained in detail by the staff. Some really innovative and experimental, such as fish "salumi" and even the fish cup. Very good seared tuna and also breaded prawns. Much appreciated the bread basket with different types, some of them made by them. Instead we liked the desserts a little less, new, different but little characterized in flavor. Maybe it's our taste. Wide selection of wines. Service and professional staff, courteous, kind and attentive.
Adequate prices. Highly recommended

The location is suggestive, the terrace one of the most beautiful spots on the island, the service always present and attentive, the food is an experience. The pasta with blue fish and crisp bread is wonderful, as are their spaghetti with clams. Fun and to try their experimentation with ''fish salami'', I call them so to simplify, while it deserves to be tasted the fish soup, second very appetizing. It is a place where you spend, we in two 171 euros without wine with two spritz, but it is worth it.

I was at dinner recently
Just arrived the terrace with a wonderful view of Ponza thrilled me
Great welcome entree
Excellent appetizer and fish frying in equally excellent temperature
Dessert with pear and ricotta accompanied by a hazelnut biscuit with very fresh ricotta
Only negative note .... slow lenses in the service and long wait between courses

The restaurant is slightly elevated above the small port and allows a pretty view over the whole bay.
The staff seemed a bit formal besides our service, which really took care of us warmly and courteously.
The food was first class, but more reminiscent of appetizers than dishes. Given the above-average prices, a little more generosity would be appropriate.

Enchanting place high above the Gulf of Ponza. Davide, the owner introduced us to the local delights. The delicious appetizers (excellent tuna tartare, amazing bruschettona with ink) the perfect fish first courses (especially for those who love al dente cooking) and the local fish second courses (don't forget the swordfish rolls) top marks .
Good wine list and very kind service girls. Ok the peak of the high season is far away and the diners were not few to be pampered properly.
It ends with almost tiramisu and ginger semifreddo, perfect for finishing on a high note.
Reasonable price for the location and for the preparations that are not at all obvious.
If I return to Ponza, I will definitely return.
