Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you to the staff at Pike & Joyce for making our 20th Wedding Anniversary celebration so special. Arriving a little early we went for a wine tasting with Harry who was so passionate about the wines along with the area in which he resides....We noted that most of the staff were either raised and or had lived in the Adelaide Hills for a while, this was so refreshing to come across young people that have a love and respect for where they have been raised and have a passion for what they do, you can feel this love from start to finish when you visit Pike & Joyce. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and we could not have thought of a better place to spend our special day. We'd highly recommend Pike and Joyce to anyone that was looking for a 5 star experience. Kind regards, Melissa & JamieMore

Perhaps needed to book as it was near closing time and it felt like staff obviously had other things to be getting on with. The experience felt rushed and not as infirmative or as professional an experience as another nearby vineyard. However, the wines we...tasted were excellent which, I suppose, is the object of the visit.More

A beautiful spot for lunch on a Monday. Great views, beautiful food, lovely service and fabulous wines. We enjoyed a tasting prior to lunch, which was lovely. The only thing I would say was the set menu serving sizes are big and for a couple,...we were so full even though we shared each dish. Next time we would definitely do A 'La Carte. Looking forward to returning to enjoy some more of the fabulous food and wine. Thank youMore

Great restaurant experience in the vines - short scenic drive from Adelaide. Fabulous location on the hill looking out across the valley and vines. Wonderful range of entrees-mains with gluten-free options. Good selection of wines to pair with the dishes! The warm gf bread stick...with olive oil/balsamic and dukkah was fantastic. Absolutely loved the perfectly cooked lamb while my partner enjoyed multiple entrees. The staff were attentive and professional. Highly recommend a dining experience here!More

The magnificent view over vineyards is the first thing that takes your breath away. We were visiting with interstate friends mid week and as they are foodies and wine collectors I was a bit nervous that the restaurant might not meet their expectations. I needed...have worried though as everything was wonderful. The atmosphere is classy but friendly and relaxed. The food was interesting and delicious and my friend said that the Shiraz was one of the best he’s ever tasted and promptly bought a case to take home. I would have gone there just to experience the view but everything else exceeded our expectations.More

Went for lunch yesterday. The staff were busy chatting with each other when we arrived and took a few minutes to notice us. The place was not overly busy. Eventually we were seated with water. We watched the staff as they chatted, one delivered food...to another table, then water to the table next to us and then set about clearing two tables. After 20 minutes of feeling invisible we left - went to Mt Lofty Ranges, just down the road where we had great food, good wines and attentive staff. So simple - our $600+ went to other than P& J. Deservedly.More

Wanted to do a wine tasting after having lunch at a nearby restaurant. What a gorgeous spot for a tasting - the view is to die for! Even on a cold windy day there is so much to see, and the wines were delicious! Took...a couple of bottles home. Great service also, very friendly and attentive without being too pushy. We will be back to try out the restaurant one day!More

Wow the view, but then the great food, sadly we were not hungry enough to do tasting menu, so just got couple of plates, including Kangaroo which was cooked perfect. The wine also was very good, so ended up buying bottles to take with us...on our holiday. Staff very good, was highlight of our trip visiting hereMore

Since an outstanding lunch two years ago (previously reviewed) we have been repeat customers. While the setting and view remain stunning, today’s birthday celebration fell considerably short of expectations. The greeting (to two women in their mid seventies) set an unfortunate tone. ‘Hi guys’ is...not respectful or welcoming, nor is being patronised that we had ‘done well’ as our plates were cleared. That was not compensated by the otherwise attentive service. The quality of food was variable (limp, tasteless bread, delicious duck, heavy dessert that did not taste freshly made), though presentation was good. The link to local fresh produce that we appreciated in the past was absent. Above average, but not ‘very good’.More

We got there around 330. Even though they were about to shut wine tasting and we’re setting up for dinner the chap let us sit inside with beautiful views and try wines. Highly recommend the Pinot rosé sparkling and Chardonnay reserve. The restaurant menu looked...fab too. Will definitely book on next visit.More

The restaurant attched to the tasting room for this winery is a must visit. We have visted several times over the years and never leave disappointed. Our most recent visit was outstanding as usual. We started with house baked bread which was accompanied with dukkah...and whipped butter. Excellent. Followed by Salt & Sichuan chicken wings and Burrate. Both great choices. Mains of Fish of the day (Barramundi ) and Lamp rump were outstanding. Service was 1st class. Excellent house wines of course! Its worth the visit for the beautiful view over the Adelaide Hills.More
