Great suckling pig.

When you are in the area especially visiting the Buçaco Palace you have to stop at this quaint place for suckling pig. One of the best. It’s very light, and the chips and salad were delicious. Will be coming back in the near future.

great food Typical dishes with meat from the region, typically Portuguese food, where the variety of flavors whets the appetite. It pays to know the typical flavors of the region in a place where the kitchen is well confecionada and value for money - quality...is very nice.More

Leitao as it should be

When travelling through the Bairrada we love to eat Leitao. To satisfy our desire we went to Octavio dos Leitoes in Ventoso. It is a rather big place with sufficient parking (you can only get there by car). In the back you can park your...car under the trees in the shade. The restaurant is typical Portuguese and you won't meet many foreigners for whom this restaurant could be a real experience. The leitao is delicious and is accompanied by home made fries (sliced chips) that come in abaundance. The gravy is peppery but delicious and a good and needed accompaniment of the leitao.More
