Cute little location but sadly the place was very average and disconnected from its surroundings. There was no chat about the wines themselves or recommendations which was disappointing, the staff just explained that there was a selection of red and white. Also only one Nillumbik...Estate wine on the menu. The pizzas tasted good but seemed like they were pre-made bases. I wanted to love it but I was regrettably a bit underwhelmed.More

Dined for lunch on weekend, return visit after a long time. We shared the garlic pizza & lamb pizza. Both were tasty however disappointed at how thick & very hard both pizzas were & it was difficult to cut with a knife. Service friendly. Don't...know if anything has changed since our last visit but pizzas weren't as good as last time.More

This is a great find in the Yarra Valley. Delicious wine served with a lovely antipasto platter and pizza’s to die for. Friendly staff made us feel right at home and couldn’t do enough for you. The views were a bit a limited by the...drizzly weather but it is usually lovely to look over the vines to the distant ranges. Highly recommend a visit here.More

Visited Nillumbik Estate for lunch on Saturday. We arrived around 12 and decided to wing it and try and get a table on the balcony. Most tables were reserved but there was one table of two under an umbrella so we were lucky, but I...recommend to book if you do want a table on the balcony. The drive in is on a small tarred road. Takes a few kilometres to find the place but the views are nice along the way.I ordered a wine tasting paddle which was fantastic. Choice of around 15 or so wines on the paddle ,including a sparkling option. Lovely wines, the Rose' was my favourite but they were all delicious. The service was fantastic, very chilled vibe. Familys and couples. My husband wore thongs which was not a problem. Apparently they have live music on the first sunday of every month which would be lovely. The view is lovely, it is so quiet, no road noise which was so nice. We had the lamb pizza which was incredible, slow roasted lamb with onion ,tzatziki and lemon, just incredible. Also ordered a Margherita pizza which was nice. All in all a lovely experience.More

We went for Sunday lunch and were delighted with the view from our table on the outstide balcony. The wooded Northern Hills chardonnay was beautiful. The menu choices were very limited - antipasto platter, pizza or pizza or pizza or salad & dessert - another...pizza. Plus only percolated coffee so no macchiato ... Tea was available. The pizzas also were quite oily. I had Lamb pizza and would have tasted a lot better with more lamb. Also price was steep averaging $28/$30 pizza.More

We went on Sunday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The pizzas were amazing. When we arrived our table was ready, staff very friendly, all this helped contribute to a great atmosphere. The only criticism was that it was very very hot, it needs industrial fans.

We had a really lovely family lunch here yesterday. Booked online (easy) and our table was ready when we arrived. We were greeted warmly and felt welcome with our children! We had a tasting plate and a few pizzas which we all really enjoyed and...we also did a wine tasting and ordered a case to be sent home to Sydney. There was live music and it was a relaxed place to spend a few hours. Loved the idea of the wine paddle- and went back for another glass of the Pinot. All around a great way to end our little get away to Melbourne!More

Fantastic experience at Nillumbik Estate on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed a wine tasting before our meal on the deck over looking the beautiful gully. Service was excellent, helpful and friendly! Shared some woodfired pizzas for a late lunch and enjoyed some glasses of...wine. The Shiraz was the crowd favourite! Will definitely be back and look forward to bringing many more of our friends to enjoy a casual winery lunch in a stunning setting.More

This little gem, tucked away in theYarra Valley and only 45 minutes from the CBD is a must-visit. Spectacular views, fantastic wines and delicious food! We felt relaxed from the moment we stepped onto their large viewing deck. The winemaker took us through our tasting...and it was a real experience. We fell in love with the mushroom pizza !! Would highly recommend a visit. We'll certainly be back very soon :)More
