After being told by bar staff they could make me a coffee...but I had to wait till she served everybody at the bar as she was on her own..so I politely waited..another male bar staff member asked me what I wanted..I informed him the young...lady said she would make me a coffee..he bluntly informed me that she was his only staff member n that the coffee machine wasn't opened !! I said we'll Ur here now..so may I have a coffee..again he bluntly advised me no coffees were being served..great service..very misleading as the female staff member asked me to wait n she would make the coffee..very bad service..not polite at all..n worst thing there was hardly anybody there at all... rate out of 10 for customer service...-11More
The Beach Hotel Cabaritta is the worst pub I have ever been to in Australia and that is saying something! The Staff are disgustingly rude. They so called locals, are delusional enough to believe that, the pub is thier turf alone! So even if you...are a local, but new to going there. They think it's ok to ban patrons just because!!! "It's ours mother@#$^^$#" How old are these people? I didn't realise pubs can play by kinda rules and the Od k id gets kicked out. Unless you want a heakthy dose of discrimination and want to spend your time with a bunch of pissed school children and a manager that would have been better suited to being a sleezy lawyer. DONT BOTHER!!!More
Your exclusion still stands.
Hands down some of the worst food I have ever had. Most of the staff are very young and do wonder if they have ever actually cooked a meal before. I had the nachos which came out brown to the point of almost burnt. With...‘pulled beef’ in huge strips I could barely cut through with a knife and fork. One single spoonful of sour cream and avocado does not a meal make! My daughter had the kids nachos (for the first time in her life) and it was abysmal. The meals all round were simply terrible. We spent over $100 on lunch, 2 beers and some juice for the kids and it was a complete waste as we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. For such an amazing location, this truly is a missed opportunity. Oh and I should mention that I had an upset stomach within an hour of eating here also. I will not be back.More
Absolutely horrible! Very small portion sizes and ridiculously overpriced. Manager was rude. Will never go back.
They were understaffed so limited menu but did not disappoint! We enjoyed our meals and staff were all very friendly. Loved the experience👌
It has been nearly 30 since I was last here, so yes the place has changed a lot. The outlook is excellent & great for a casual meal or drink. The food is just the same old Pub fare that you can get anywhere however...the servings are very generous. If there is a group of you, you’ll need to reserve a table.More
A group of friends booked a table for dinner here the staff were rude & food was ordinary- they insisted on wearing masks even if you had a medical exemption. Would not recommend ever
Gluten free chips with a beautifully cooked rump steak— wonderful for a coeliac - such a wonderful surprise. (They have a cooker only for chips)
Good pub fare available every day, from mostly lovely staff. Great location right on the beach. Books advised on busy weekends.
I had to greet the doorman when all he did was point to some random sigjn as I walked in. No smiles. I had to make a point of smiling and greeting bistro staff. No smiles again. My order at the bar was met with...no smiles once more. what the hell happened to quality service? Its the same everywhere these days. I am highly trained in professional customer service and if I held this attitude when I contact my customers I would be looking elsewhere for employment. I'm so pissed off that I drove to your venue especially in hope that someone would show me that professional service standards are not completely dead across all of Australia but once more.... Below average, generally unfriendly is now the norm. I'm about to completely abstain from eating out anymore because the basis for true hospitality has been flushed down the drain. Sad. Cold dinner didn't encourage me either. I'm no grumpy bum venting personal frustrations. It's just such a let down to be treated as though I am more of an inconvenience as opposed to a paying client. I hope this message can help you somehow but I'm not holding my breath. Cheers. Jarrod.(local)More
A girlfriend and I decided to just order a few starters instead of a main meal, which was basically like having tapas dishes. I think we had just about all of them and couldn't fault anything - it was all so delicious! The staff were...great and sitting outside was lovely although you can't actually see the beach from the restaurant.More
Had the special for the night - beef brisket and a bottle of Beachhut Merlot. My wife is celiac and this meal hit the spot! A tasty combo of chicken wings and succulent beef brisket, with a tasty baked potatoe. A lovely mix of casual...dining and fine cuisine.More
The Beach Bar and Grill was the perfect venue for our recent birthday celebration . The new chef presented an amazing grazing table with a huge variety of food and exotic fruits sourced locally, while hot platters continued to be served by the friendly staff....Family and those who had travelled some distances were most impressed with the venue, not only for the view and the cooling breeze on the deck, but , as it was the Australia Day weekend , we were most appreciative with all 46 of us being accommodated comfortably at tables or standing chatting on the deck.Nothing was a trouble for the proprietors, management , kitchen and bar staff. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful venue where we can go to relax over an appetising meal or to celebrate a special occasion. Sincere appreciation & congratulations on making our celebration such a memorable occasion !!More
Rarely write a negative review, but this experience has prompted me to say something. Party of four adults, birthday lunch, we were extremely disappointed, given it has such an excellent location right by the beach. All four of us had terrible meals. I paid $32...for grilled barramundi that was burnt to a cinder on one side and raw on other; my chips were cold and the salad consisted of handful of lettuce leaves with a cut tomato, chucked onto the plate, no dressing, nothing else! It was appalling! One of us had the barramundi in beer batter, more like beer batter with hint of baramundi. It was revolting, his chips were also cold, and served with the same sub standard salad! We should have sent it all straight back to kitchen when it arrived, we completely regret not doing so. When advising wait staff about our issue with the meals, wait staff walked away from us and did not follow through with Manager, obviously not trained to handle complaints. We then approached Manager who said the restaurant was extremely busy that day, and the kitchen had been overwhelmed .... really??! Stop taking new orders if you are overwhelmed! The chef should have never let that food out of the kitchen. We were offered free coffees to compensate for our experience, honestly if the meals were that bad, we were not going to risk their coffee. Such a shame.More
