Went to the Ashlea last night for a meal with the family. The food was lovely and piping hot which is rare in most restaurants these days. It's a very pleasant pub as it always has been. Service was very good and quick. Definitely be visiting again as the menu has a lot of choice. It was quiet as it... More

Been here before many times as food is very good and tasty. But today the service was very poor, took an hour for each round including just getting a coffee. It appear that they were short of staff and the one that were on today were very slow.

The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. My partner had garlic ciabatta with cheddar (£2.99) which was essential one slice of very thin cheese on toast. Next came the steaks... More

Food was enjoyable, drinks under filled at bar, rapid service, tikka masala was plated in awkward bowls. Waitress overly eager to bring the bill.

Waiting staff were poor didn't know the offer on prosecco, brought the wrong cutlery, had to ask for finger bowls and napkins for the prawns. And heard her tell another table that the puddings weren't very good which was off putting. Food was good except asked for medium... More

Glad I booked - it was very busy. The service was perfect despite it being so busy. The food was excellent. They even bought out a slice of dessert with candles and sang happy birthday to our dad on his 91st birthday - very impressed.
