Nice air conditioned surroundings which was a plus for a dinner outing in 45 degree heat. Wood fire pizzas were great, especially the prosciutto pizza. They have nice gluten free pizza base which was thin and crusty with toppings of your choice. Service was good except the person who cleaned the table was unable to take the order, and the... More

Not only did I go in here just before closing time, as I'd been working late, and interstate, but I also asked what the best pizza was. I might have been served by the manager. I am unsure. He said lamb was the best pizza. My oath it was! Not only did he give me his opinion if the best... More

The food here is really quite good and came to the table pretty quickly. We however sat out the front and were largely ignored by the wait staff. We waited some 10 minutes for our first round d of drinks and would have ordered another had they given us an opportunity. If they smartened up their service this would be... More

I booked for three people for a business meeting. I arrived and as there were noisy children on a nearby table, asked to be moved to a quieter spot, which was done with no fuss. We had the mixed platter of bruschetta, which was very nice. I followed that with the spaghetti carbonara, which tasted fine, although the pancetta appeared... More

Group of 12 friends on a Friday night. We had booked in advance and arrived on time. Had to tackle a waiter to order some drinks. Most meals arrived together but 1 had to wait 15 minutes after all other meals arrived. Food wasn't bad 8/10. I think they take responsible service of alcohol too far, it was no service... More

Stormy1960, I am so sorry to here you had a less than agreeable experience at Sicilian Parramatta. It certainly is unacceptable not to be offered drinks and desserts as your night progresses. Particularly with such a large group of people, it sounds like a celebratory occasion and should be remembered as such. I understand how a level of service such... More

This is a good restaurant, their Wood Fire Pizzas are really tasty. The food is generally really well made and service is very good too. Sometimes, some dishes can be ordinary, but mostly good and reliable.

My husband and I went to Sicillian for dinner last night. We didn't make any booking as it was a last minute decision. when we walked in, I think it was the manager who took us to sit at a corner table which my husband refused. anyways we were allocated to another table. the service was so slow. We asked... More

The day after the wedding (not our’s my wife’s niece) for which we’d travelled to Sydney, was a bit quiet with everyone recovering from the excesses. We decided to head out to Paramatta, we’d been advised it was worth the trip & it was, even on yet another uncharacteristically dreary spring day. Sicilian was a draw right from the moment... More

We had a pizza, salt and pepper squid and a veal dish. Enjoyed them all thoroughly. Prices were reasonable because it was a lunch menu. Parking is conveniently behind the restaurant which we accessed from Philip street.

Description
Welcome to Sicilian Restaurant, a true icon of Parramatta and one of the largest and most impressive restaurants in the area. There is seating capacity for 350 diners yet it can still capture the intimacy of a romantic dinner for two. Located right in the heart of Parramatta, the restaurant is open 7 days for lunch and dinner. The Sicilian continues to maintain its reputation for high standards in service, food, premium wine, cocktails and superior coffee. Since Opening the Sicilian has become increasingly popular for its authentic woodfire pizza's and large portion sizes . Its large, open style and warm atmosphere attracts lovers of the flavours and dishes that make up the Italian cuisine. The Sicilian Restaurant brings all the warmth and earthy provincial charm of Sicily and Italian Dining to Parramatta. Sicilian food, in essence is excruciatingly simple. The freshness of the ingredients is what's most important in Sicilian's cooking. High quality ingredients speak ten-times louder than fancy cooking. Due to Sicily's location, in the middle of the Mediterranean, Sicily was a magnet for seafaring people since the dawn of time and has been invaded and ruled by the Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Spaniards and others, all of whom have left their mark, both in the island soul and in the cuisine. As a result Sicilian's cuisine is one of the most interesting of all the Italian Regions, with each new invasion another layer was added to an increasingly rich cuisine. 10 years in Church Street - Sicilian is celebrating its unique identity... with our family.
