Reviewed yesterday NEW

We popped in on a whim whilst my friend was visiting. We had just missed the hot menu but it was carefully explained what was still available for us to order. We both opted to have the afternoon tea, all of which was available with gluten free options. It was delicious, no complaints and would highly recommend! Our waitress also... More

My wife and I have been here a number of times now, and I thought it was time to just reiterate what most people have said about this wonderful cafe. As soon as you walk through the door, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. It feels like slipping into a warm bath. We both had the brie and bacon sandwich... More

My wife and 1 year old embarked upon a walk to the tea room, only realising that it was soon closing so we walked back to the car (only walked in 15 minutes of an hours journey) to drive instead. Was getting an earful once the journey was realised by car (she is not a keen incline walker when she... More

We went for a family of five Sunday Lunch having never visited before. The Sunday Roasts ( Beef, Pork and Turkey ) we enjoyed with freshly cooked vegetables - extra veg offered and provided at no extra cost - were all First Class. I think the Pork was the most tender I've ever had!! Cracking desserts and First Class professional... More

Myself and my husband visited here today after a lovely walk up and around May Hill. It's such a lovely little cafe. I had poached egg on toast which was delicious! My husband had a BLT sarnie which was huge but equally delicious. We both had loose leaf tea that was also yum! It's very reasonably priced, the staff are... More

Took a friend to lunch with us today, she has to have a gluten free diet and she was impressed with the choice clearly marked on the menu. The plates came piping hot and food was delicious. We shall be back very soon

We have visited this Tearoom many times over the past 10+ years and the standard of food has always been of the highest standard. There is a good choice of set meals with a large range of "specials" and puddings. The tea is loose tea which was a nice bonus as it tastes so much better than tea bagged tea.... More

We've stopped here several times over the last few years for breakfast when en route to south wales. The quality is excellent. They serve a full breakfast or a mini breakfast, which is ideal when you're travelling. The quality of the food is superb. You do have to wait for them to cook it freshly, but when it arrives everything... More

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, tasty food selection, good tea and coffee. Would definitely recommend and has the added advantage of the small courtyard shops.

Description
We are a family-run tearoom focusing on using good quality local produce. We serve breakfasts, home-cooked lunches, light snacks & our highly regarded home-baked cakes and scones, enjoyed on their own warm from the oven, with clotted cream & jam, or as part of our celebrated afternoon teas. We have 16 loose leaf teas from which to choose, and James Gourmet Coffee from Ross-on-Wye. Booking is advisable for lunch & especially for Sunday roasts served every Sunday 12-3. Special dietary requirements can be catered for, with gluten-free & limited dairy-free items available on the daily menus, but please let us know when making your reservation if you have specific dietary needs.
