Service great but the Lamb Suet Pudding must have been a game of Hunt the lamb in gravy as the suet pudding was so thick there was no room for more than two pieces of small lamb, disgusted and would not recommend this meal choice....

My mother-in-laws 80th up the Crown for 30 people. Booked all 12 hotel rooms and we had the function room all day. Well done to the team. And thanks for all your hard work.

We had a lovely meal here this evening. Good value for money. Nice menu with a lovely specials board too. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent place for Sunday lunch with friends. Cosy with an open fire, busy, well run. Fabulous roast beef and great wine. Really fitted the bill after a morning walk. Book ahead!

Just followed the brown sign off the main road and found this little gem of a pub/restaurant! Brilliant smiley happy service; great food with decent portions and brilliant value for money-what more can you ask for? Actually, happy buzzy atmosphere and real log fires just complete the picture of a wonderful, ancient English pub serving modern well cooked pub food.... More

Stopped off in this old favourite from longer ago than I care to remember. Still a smashing pub in a position to die for with very good food and lovely staff. Had some very good roast beef (not leathery brown, but pinker and more interesting) and then ordered pudding and coffee. Coffee arrived within 90 seconds and pudding 20 minutes... More

Welcoming atmosphere, staff very friendly. Had a lovely table next to log fire, which as it was lashing it down outside, was a welcome sight! Both had roast beef Sunday lunch, roast spuds were excellent and plenty of gravy to accompany selection of green veg, carrots, parsnips and generous helping of beef. Yorkshire pud also very good! It's a traditional... More

My wife and I walked to The Crown Inn from France Lynch on a very wet New Year's Day and what a nice surprise we had.Even though the pub was very busy, we were given a warm welcome from the friendly staff (especially the young barman). Although we didn't eat there (the food looked very good), the atmosphere, surroundings, log... More

We were here for Christmas lunch and it's probably the worst festive lunch we have experienced. The broth starter looked more like a consomme. The main courses arrived on cold plates which straight away rang alarm bells. The turkey was undercooked and most peoples had pieces of pink turkey if not raw in places. This put me off straight away.One... More
