Visited to have an outside drink with our 3 dogs with a view to booking our wedding reception meal here. Was ignored at the non restaurant bar for 15 mins as staff pulled drinks....eventually was spoken to and told they were too busy to serve...outside drinks....had driven 26 miles each way to look and appraise for a reception...my partner went in to ask how long we would have to wait for seated service outdoor and was told rudely...it wouldnt happen....there were a dozen people outside who had been refused service (the first time in my adult lifetime...I am very over age....but still youthful looking...that I have been refused)....so we drove to another village pub close by....had a drink with the dogs and booked our reception....very poor show....wont ever patronise them again......our own village pub has a restaurant and a bar and a marquee for overflow service and we dont refuse to serve outside patrons.More

Today we had Fish and Chips from here and it really is legendary. Massive piece of fresh haddock beautifully cooked. Will definitely return next year when this is over and we can eat in the restaurant. Just thinking should we have a full English breakfast...before heading home!!!!More

Very pleasant, accomodating, welcoming owners. Stayed 2 nights in our motor home, no charge if you have your evening meal with them. Food good & reasonably priced, limited menu which is understandable in these unprecedented times. Fish and chips is massive! Outdoor dining available. Toilets...open 24hrs if needed. Nice quiet countryside area, slept well. Thank you Dave & Jackie!More

Lovely 16th century pub with amazing thatched roof. Due to Covid 19 the pub is being run as a B&B but we were welcome to park up our motorhome with electric hook up. We could not have been made more welcome by Jackie and Dave....Due to restricted dining numbers Jackie cooked us gorgeous fish and chips and brought them to the motorhome. Dave brought a couple of beers across. They could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stop over here again on our travels.More

thank you Jackie and Dave for a fantastic couple of days in your beautiful Inn. the room is lovely, everything you need, soft towels, refreshments and toiletries, bathrobes and towels for the hot tub. the little garden and hot tub are brilliant for a nice...relaxing stay. You both did more than enough to welcome us and Charlie the Springer. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing in the restaurant. The food you cook is gorgeous, steaks are cooked to perfection and nothing was to much trouble. There are lovely quiet beaches minutes away for walking along. Fantastic food, service and hosts, we stayed for 2 nights at the start of our holiday and returned to spend the last 3 nights with friends. (The hosts) Jackie and Dave. We cannot reccomend this place highly enough! Just don't all turn up at once!

Nice atmosphere and quiet enough to relax at night and breakfast was offered, tidy clean room, only criticism is the room was far too warm and the mattress was like a ROCK! Slightly over priced, but not bad considering we booked on the day of...our stay.More
