Love going to the Dornoch. The staff is friendly and accommodating to my requests. I have to use a cane and have trouble moving around. The manager/owner has always seated me at a table where I can eat my lunch in comfort and not get in any of the other patrons way. The menu has many options and as I am a senior they are more than happy to package up my leftovers and actually carry it out to my car as I need both arms for my canes and can't carry anything. I always make a point of going for the specials as they are always delicious and varied, much better than going to a chain restaurant where the meals are always the same and there is no pleasant atmosphere. Not to mention that the staff always remember me when I go in. You could almost say that it is like going to a friends house for a marvellous meal. There is always a nice rotation of soups available and they are made in house, not shipped in a bag from some supplier like Tim Hortons soup is. You know that you will be served with a smile and leave with a full belly of scrumptious offerings. I would highly recommend that the next time you are in town you must go to the Dornoch, you will not be disappointed and it is good value for your money. Cheers!

The Dornoch is my favourite local restaurant! It’s a comfortable cozy atmosphere with such friendly service. Everyone is kind and accommodating. From the kitchen staff to the lovely woman who is the owner. It’s often filled with young vibrant families enjoying a meal out. And many seniors frequent there as well. It’s a gathering place to sit down and enjoy good food, good company in a good place. Just walk through the front door and you can hear the sounds of happy, well fed customers of all generations.
Oh have I mentioned the food?! Homemade soups made from scratch. The Greek Salad is out of this world delicious, I think I would have to travel to Greece to find one better, if even then. Lunch and dinner specials every day are always yummy. And if you love burgers then you will be happy to chow down, just make sure you have lots napkins it’s so juicy.
I HIGHLY recommend Kristy and her team at The Dornoch Tap and Grill. If you haven’t been, please check it out. You will be very happy you did.

Last Saturday the owner and staff of the Dornoch Tap & Grill saved the day for a party of 22 whose lunch reservation elsewhere was derailed by a sudden medical issue. The folks in Nottawa were able to accommodate us on short notice, feed and watered us with great efficiency and left us all feeling well looked after. The meals served were from all parts of the menu and happily consumed by all present.

My friend and I, both seniors, were looking forward to a nice quiet meal at the Dornoch Grill last Saturday at about 4:00. My friend had some mobility issues and it was hard for her get to get from the car into the pub. I greeted our waitress when she came to our table and my friend asked about specials. The waitress told us, and when she said soup was $10 I was quite surprised and exclaimed "$10 for soup." She then very snarkily said, Well don't order it then." We were shocked at her attitude, but perused the menu.
When the waitress came back to the table, I told her I was upset about her comment and that it hadn't been very polite. She got all huffy and said we could go and eat at Swiss Chalet where the soup was cheap. She then said she refused to serve us. My friend asked if someone else could take our orders and the waitress said that she was the only person there. (I later found out that she was not just the waitress but the owner of the business.)
So I went over to speak to the manager and ended up talking to the owner. I apologized for my comment and said that we would really like to eat there. Actually, I apologize three times and she was adamant that she would not serve us and that we should leave. I explained about my friends mobility issues and that did not persuade her in any way to change her mind. She would not accept my apologies so we had no alternative but to leave.
After asking around I have found out that this woman can be abusive to her staff and has been rude and nasty to customers on a regular basis. Her behavior was extremely abusive, especially to seniors with mobility issues. She was adamant that we leave and would not be served at this establishment.
People I have spoken to can't believe how poorly we were treated by this owner. Needless to say, we will not be going back to the Dornoch to be bullied by this new owner's irrational behavior. I often recommend it on Facebook when people are asking about a great restaurant to eat at. I will no longer be recommending it even though the food is very good, the atmosphere pleasant and the service usually friendly. BEWARE, PEOPLE, BEWARE.
We ended up going for a lovely dinner at the Georgian Bay Family Restaurant served by a friendly efficient waitress.

We recently had the pleasure of dinner at the Dornoch Tap and Grill. From the moment we walked in the friendly staff made us feel at home. The variety of food and beverage offered is impressive. From classic pub fair to daily specials they have something for everyone. The presentation of the food and the attention to detail shows pride in what they do. Our time there was relaxed and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed delicious food and beverage in great company. Can’t wait to visit again.

My go to after golf! There is no better place to go after a good (or bad) day on the course.
I had the opportunity to go twice in the same week with different people who asked where we should go for a meal. Both times they were completely impressed by both the food and the service staff.
I have had both the turkey club sandwich and the fish tacos. Both were exceptional.
Also sitting on the back patio adds to the whole experience.
The Mayor of Clearview Township once told me this place was amazing and he was correct. Thanks Doug.
Again great service and great food almost made up for that wayward drive on number 6!

They are our go to pub in the area! We live here, and love this place...great food and service every time, and we go often. Highly recommend the prime rib dinner on the weekend, huge portion, succulent, enough for lunch leftovers. Also recommend the yorkshire appie with beef, caesar salad, chicken fingers. Always good! Have noticed smaller fingers portion lately, but in past, the portions were too big anyways. We'll be back often for lunch or dinner!

8 of us enjoyed an early dinner at Dornoch after our round of golf. Quickly seated by mgr on outside patio and server greeted us for drink order. We all ordered a variety of dishes that were quickly served. Very good portions, Thursday's are wing night. Fish tacos are awesome, wings also good. Hidden gem.

Stopped in for luch at this little gem on a Sunday mid afternoon. They were just about empty so we were seated quickly.
Our server was friendly, efficient and helpful.
The special was french onion soup, and/or prime rib sandwich and fries.
The soup was a little salty and light on onion. The beef base was fantastic.
The prime rib sandwich was very tender, tasty and a little salty. The fries had a nice seasoning and cooked to perfection.
The price was a bit on the high side, but in my opinion it is worth it. I will be back again.

This is a great pub, with wonderful food and great service! The food is great. They have a rotating special which is always tasty. The pub regular fare is delicious. They have a good beer selection on tap; with rotating specials. We are regulars and have got to know the team. They are friendly and helpful. It is often full with regulars and travellers heading through to Collingwood.
They have a fun room upstairs which is great for small groups or parties.
Right now they are doing take out for those that long for a pub dinner -- while staying at home.

This hidden gem in Nottawa is such a great place for lunches or dinner. Great menu items, portions are excellent. Highly recommended. Spinach salad is amazing as well as the deep fried pickles.
Love the Veggie melt and the chicken parm.

This place is FULL of kind staff and they always take care of every little detail.
The new owner is amazing! 6 months later and the place is always packed full of friendly faces and full bellies! You will not be disappointed. Great beer on tap and fabulous cesars! Salad and drinks!😉

Excellent pub food menu. Cold draft beer. New well appointed patio seats 24 ( estimated ). Energetic staff, good TV inside and sound system outside. Periodic new items and standards like Wings. Wifi.

Decided to do a mid long weekend lunch on a driving trip. The Dornoch had been recommended, so stopped in to check it out.
Very glad I did. The server was friendly and efficient. Their Pale Ale was very good and the Turkey Club was excellent.
This was my first patio since covid rules loosened. Appreciate the requirement for contact tracing, the staff being masked and sufficient spacing of the tables. I felt very comfortable on the deck.
Definitely on my return list.

The Dornoch Tap & Grill in Nottawa, ON is a great spot for dinner! Our server was absolutely lovely and very efficient. We enjoyed our food immensely and the ambience in the room was perfect!
