The Pocket Espresso Bar is our unique little piece of paradise where you can escape, rejuvenate & fix almost everything. From a tiny hole in the wall coffee shop, we are now ticking all the boxes from your early coffee wake up, a fully fledged restaurant, bar and live music venue. With the overwhelming support of family, the community, a lot of hard yakka, and a soundtrack from Destiny’s Child ‘Survivor’ – here we are. Livin’ the dream, serving up brews and goodness to friends on the daily. We hope to see you soon!

From outside The Pocket there is a great view across the park to the ocean. However, none of the seating has this view. Inside is quite dark so we opted for breakfast in the rear courtyard. Our meals were tasty and filling. The savoury mince with potato balls was different from the usual breakfast options. The coffee was good but delivered with quite a bit spilt in the saucer, and if this was 'extra hot' then regular must be tepid.

A fairly spontaneous choice for refreshments but enticed by pleasant waiter to check out the menu ... that got us salivating!
Opted to share the Calamari, beautifully cooked & full of light flavours ... plus the Thai Beef Salad, tangy & a great contrast to the calamari.
Mineral water plus the alcoholic Ginger Beer... the GB lacking something to my mind.
Happy to be tucked away in the shade & cool & quiet, away from where take away predominates & the passing parade of people & dogs.

This is a funky pocket of goodness that the locals just love. Visited for family breakfast with kids and were delighted with the interesting breakfast choices. The savoury mince on Turkish with homemade hash browns won thumbs up all round. This is a very generous dish. The heirloom tomatoes with whipped feta was also a winner and the egg and bacon pie is great for those not wanting a larger meal. The coffee here is awesome with lots of choice.
The service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is engaging with an eclectic decor. Can see why it is such a popular spot with the locals.

Went for family breakfast. One of the Turkish breads ordered was inedible to the point my daughter had to spit bits of fat out. Opening the bread the bacon was very fatty and very undercooked. It was also slathered with an overwhelming amount of mayo and relish. The rest of the food was okay, however when we mentioned the issue to the waitress they didn’t act on it and we paid full price with no apology. As we were paying beach side prices anyway some token reduction in the bill, or offer of some other food to be made would have been nice. We rarely have the opportunity to eat out, shame it was a disappointment.

Wouldn’t be a trip to the Sunny Coast without stopping by this gorgeous Moffat Beach favourite. Love the food, the view and the vibe. The menu is jam packed full of delicious eats and yummy cocktail treats. Great for both dine in and food to go. The coffee is yum and I particularly enjoy the live music afternoons and other fun events that they host. Wish I had a cafe as lovely as this in my local community. Highly recommend!

Great location , very ordinary menu and service at pretty expensive prices , a little bit too cool and hip to actually deliver quality food and service , it’s busy simply due its location …. In fact they are not alone in this street , they all offer an ordinary product , just a captive audience .
Walk around the corner and Theron actually a nice cafe with quality product and food , no views though

I was in Caloundra on a business trip, if one must know, I sell esky’s to regional areas of south-east Queensland. But yes back to the point, after a big day of business, I was chasing a bit of coffee (it was a Monday), I had a strong case of “the Mondays”.
I fumbled across a hidden away “pocket” of the Sunshine state, The Pocket Espresso Bar in Moffat Beach. (I also write puns in my free time, I’m writing a book about puns right now and their impact on the modern world, ‘ It’s A Punny World We Live In’).
But yes back to the point again, I found this great cafe. Not only was I greeted with beautiful smiles from everyone working in the cafe, I was greeted with acceptance, they had “accepted” the fact I was in need of a caffeine intake. *in robotic voice* “CAFFEINE ROBOT IS MALFUNCTIONING”.
I got a Long Black and a Bacon and Egg Toastie. Both were delicious. I asked the blonde girl working if it was always this good? She replied with “Hi my name is Kate, and yes, it is”. Simple but effective answering, I like that in a hospitality worker.
If I am ever selling eskys in Caloundra again. I will be back to this place that took me in as one of its own. The Pocket Espresso Bar, a place to cure your ‘Mondayitis’.

The location of this cafe is superb- if you’re lucky, you can even score a seat at the front and watch the ocean roll in. The place is surprisingly big with a narrow frontage. The cuisine is fine and the coffee as good as the friendly service. Recommended.

Cocktails & plenty of healthy foods add an extra dimension to this popular & on-trend Bar. There is plenty of competition around Moffat Beach so most people are catered for one way or another. The Pocket is a winner well worth the investment of your time & appetite.
Espresso is superb & I loved the foodie plates heading past me to appreciative patrons.
Back there for afternoon / twilight drinks & nibbles.
Service is good. Room for dogs in footpath area

We recently visited pocket espresso for afternoon drinks on sunset then dinner. Boy, what a great time we had ! As the sun set over moffat beach we were enjoying cocktails and few cold beers. Then we moved inside to have a perfect dinner with live entertainment which create the perfect mood. Nothing too noisy just perfect background music to enjoy our many conversations.
We returned the next morning and had amazing coffee as the sunrise rose over the ocean. Followed by a morning dip on the beach.
What a perfect spot and staff were super friendly .
Yep, this is by far our new favourite spot.

Tried to eat at the pocket, very excited to see they cater for different diets as mentioned on their menu. Found a nice table out the back and perused the menu planning to treat ourselves as we never breakfast out. They offered burgers on the breakfast menu, so knew they had bugger buns, but they would not make a egg. cheese, tomato 🍅 burger for 10 year old, so we had to leave and eat next door, were they happily made a modified egg, cheese burger.. Not sure why this would have been so difficult 😕

Every time I go to the pocket I absolutely love it. The team is always friendly and their coffee is amazing. When I'm in the area I will always try and grab some breakfast, I dream about the Chili Scramble. It can get busy so get in early.

The Chilli scramble was my seasonal favourite too! We've just recently changed the menu so you'll have to come back and try another one of our delicious breakfasts. Highly recommend the curry scramble with kransky and tomato relish! ooooh yeah! So good.

Good ambiance, wonderful seating, kind staff but who the heck is the staff? Can't tell, nothing to identify. Food is pretty good, though I got the ice chocolate and it was a bit meh. Good place with good vibes and fun location.

I’ve been a long-time customer and no trip to the Sunshine Coast is ever complete without a visit to The Pocket. Such a great spot and they never fail to deliver on exceptional food and even better service! Good vibes and happy times guaranteed. Cocktails and cauliflower tacos are next level!! Can’t wait to come back again.
