Lovely food. My husband hates salad. He can’t eat a meal with it on his plate. We requested NO SALAD they understood but when the plate arrived they insisted on serving it. Never happened to us in France before. He had to throw salad onto...my plate. We normally leave a tip. Not this time ! It’s such a shame as other than this it was faultless.More

We had lunch at La Mama on the day of the Tour de france. The service was cheerful, friendly and we felt looked after. The food was great. It was so enjoyable we went back for dinner and had a Raclette. We chatted with the...chef who was knocking out fantastic pizzas and we had more Raclette than the 5 of us could handle. The banter was superb and on a busy night they worked through the difficulties with aplomb. Fullt reccomendedMore

waiting staff clearly did not know what the dish of the day was . I ordered it anyway but it was awful , a take on a morrocan tagine of lamb but without taste . Also noticed other diners who ordered the same meal had...a much better version of it with more meat and veg . one of the group ordered a pizza with no mushrooms which came with mushrooms ... I feel it is expensive for the low level of quality .More

I visited La Mama on my birthday in the middle of March. It was busy, but we didn't need to wait long for our pizzas to arrive. We ate outside in the sunshine, as most people were. The service was efficient and we were brought...a carafe of water before our pizzas arrived. The pizzas are cooked in a proper pizza oven and are thin and crispy, perfectly cooked and just the right amount of toppings. There's a huge variety to choose from, something for everyone and at the right price too. I eat at this restaurant several times a year, the staff are always very welcoming and efficient. Other traditional menus are available in this establishment, but the pizzas are so good!More

The best place in town! Fantastic food and friendly services. Me and my husband came here everyday for the entire ski week. Every dish is good. Never disappointed by the plat du jour and the dessert du jour. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely family meal here, staff were super friendly and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Very cozy atmosphere and pizzas were the best we've had in a long time. Highly recommended.

We had a great lunch here where we had wonderful pizzas and a great salad. Le Mongie is a cute little place even in summer so worth the trip. There's plenty of outdoor seating and the service was friendly and efficient.

I've eaten here three times in the last 5 years and each time the service has been efficient, polite and quick. There pizzas are cooked in a pizza oven and are delicious. There are lots of other choices on the menu. The cheapest pizza in...February 2016 was 10 euros, this was enough for me and my boy to share. Bringing another plate, cuttlery and glass was not a problem for the staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone skiing at the Grand Tourmalet or even just passing... you won't be disappointed! I'll be back there next winter, that's for sure.More
