What a great place to have dinner. Good ambience, friendly helpful polite staff. Nothing was trouble to help patrons with. Children were well catered for too. Food was absolutely fantastic. I had fish and chips, nicely presented and tasted delicious. Fish was so fresh. Others in our group were equally delighted with food. Definitely will be back, soon. Reservations are... More

Very pleasant location, with lots of wood, freindly terracotta couloured walls, alcoves for privacy and typical pub style cosy atmosphere. The staff was very freindly and gave us a warm welcome. We had chicken and bacon salad and a lovely roasted duck with root vegetable. It was all surprisingly nice cooked with great culinary delicacies and tasted absolutely gorgeous.

Had very nice food here .. starter of goats cheese very well presented. Great wine menu. My only problem would be I ordered sea bass and it wasn't boned and this wasn't mentioned by the staff. It was lovely once I sorted the bones. Would def return.

I am a creature of habit, if I found something I like I will stick to it. The purple onion is one of them! First introduced to me via family years, and possibly years ago, slowly became my favourite restaurant this side of the Shannon!! The staff are very accommodating, the service is better than what you may imagine for... More

My friend and I visited this restaurant for the 1st time and we could not recommend this restaurant enough, it was excellent in every way. The food was delicious and our waitress's (Laurna and her daughter Lorissa) took great care of us. We will definitely be back when we are in this area again.

Visited for a late lunch on the way back from Achill to Kildare. 2 adults and 3 hungry children. Food was delicious and service excellent. They got their yummy homemade fish fingers and chunky chips out in no time giving the adults ample opportunity to enjoy lunch. Coffee was spot on also. Well done and thanks.
