Fresh, authentic Turkish food. We went for Sunday lunch and the owners weren't around, however the staff were excellent and the food delicious! Savoury lassi drink refreshing, and chopped salad with fetta worth mentioning. All our dishes were very good, especially the homemade felafels. It is a bit pricier than other places in the area, but we felt it was definitely worth the journey from Karon Beach.

Visiting Istanbul Restaurant was a treat! Lots of good vegetables, perfectly cooked meats and bread that has no business being so delicious. The cocktails were great, with a lovely spin on their garnishes that worked really well with flavors of the drinks. Highly recommended, and definitely worth swinging by if you have the opportunity!

One day on a recent trip to Thailand with my wonderful friend, we decided to get manicures/pedicures. I found a gel pedicure place and we were following google maps we trekked to it. We walked and walked and walked until realizing we had taken a wrong turn and had became lost.
Luckily, that wrong turn turned into the best turn because right across the street where we first realized we were lost… was this family run Istanbul Restaurant. Dare I say, a beacon in the night? We entered the restaurant and realized instead of being lost, we were home!
We sat down in the air conditioning and ordered a most delicious lunch. SO many terrific choices on the menu that we ended up ordering more than we could possibly eat - chicken skewers and two salads. With our order came enough sensational loaves of wood fired warm bread to feed the entire Turkish Army!
The chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned, and the two different salads were so flavorful and reminded me of a dish my mother used to make when I was a child. And did I mention the bread???
Needless to say, we are now back two days later because we simply could not stay away. This time I ordered the shrimp with garlic and butter. Can you guess with what I mopped up the leftover garlic and butter? Correct - that ridiculously great bread. It was divine! My friend ordered the chicken again and it was awe-inspiring. I know this because I ate her last piece of chicken.
The decor is perfect, the property clean, and the staff and owner most gracious and friendly.
We’re getting on a boat today for three days of scuba diving and will be back in town Friday. I naturally assume we will return for one final meal before our departure from Thailand on Saturday. When we do, I’m thinking of ordering the traditional breakfast, which is served all day and I fully intend to shove every morsel into my pie hole!
Everyone should make a point of dining at the Instanbul Restaurant. You will not be disappointed, rather you will be delighted. Take my word on it ♥️

Place located far from the tourist flow. Very clean internally thinking about Thai standard.
All the lamb-based second courses are good. However we were disappointed by the appetizers. Light years away from the original taste. House wine acceptable, medium-high prices. The lamb chops arrived raw, so when they sent them back they promptly cooked them properly. Overall it remains a good place.

The food is good. But sadly our experience there was abysmal. Must have waited 45-60 minutes for my associates entree to be served. Meanwhile my entree was served and eaten long before his arrived. Whole tables arrived and were served while we waited. No attempt was made by management to suggest an alternative entree, offer of a free drink or dessert, just an apology which did nothing to make up for the debacle. Management could easily have done more to rectify or help compensate for our inconvenience. As a frequent visitor to Phuket, and prior customer, I am disappointed by the experience.

Stepping into Istanbul Restaurant felt like entering a Turkish oasis. The ambiance, adorned with intricate details, set the stage for an authentic experience. The menu offered a delightful journey through Turkish cuisine—succulent kebabs. Yet, what truly stood out was the impeccable service; the staff's warmth and attentiveness elevated the evening. It is the best places, with Turkish cuisine what I know so far. It is clean, cozy environment and very welcome owners and staff. I reccomended try the Turkish breakfast and coffee - what they makes in traditional style and served ❤️ will visit again definitely 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Was there about 7 years ago and remembered it as being wonderfully delicious. We traveled to Phuket again last week and chose a nearby hotel. A big disappointment, perhaps the most expensive restaurant in Kata but neither the taste nor the service was what it used to be. The owner is only there during the season. Despite asking twice, we didn't get our drinks. The food sometimes had ingredients that didn't belong there and the dishes didn't taste appetizing. But that's what happens when you don't need regular customers. A waste of money

I would recommend it to anyone. Everything was top notch without a second thought. The owners are a lovely Turkish couple who have been running the restaurant for over 11 years. The man also speaks a bit of German. Traditional Turkish cuisine with soup, salad, mezze, grilled dishes, simply top notch. Best wishes to Aysel abla who is abnormally sweet :)

Went there with my gf and ordered the Istanbul plate for 2. Reasonably priced. Came with soft tender meats, pides, bowl of rice, hummus and other Turkish sauces. Got complimentary bread and butter for appetizers comes with beetroot and cabbages. And also Turkish Tea. Kudos to the Owner of this restaurant for bringing in authentic Turkish cuisine to Phuket. Well deserved for a 2nd visit to try their Turkish breakfast

We came here as a Turkish guy with my wife and guess what? We did not like here actually, we loved here :) If you wanna taste some Turkish foods you should see here definitely! Especially Turkish breakfast is very delicious and they are making foods as a handmade. There is a little bit old women which is owner and everybody calls her as a mama. She is so cute and they are living our retirement dream. We loved here!!

Very tasty food! The yoghurt dip is great, and comes with free fresh bread. The kebab options are really tasty. You must try the baklava dessert. It’s not too sweet and is just perfect! Portions are generous too!

It was sooooooo an amazing taste. I haven't eaten this well in a long time. As a native people of Turkey, I was so enthusiastic that the first bite into the Turkish bread brought back memories of my grandmother's bread. We've been looking for good food in Phuket for a long time and thanks for the great ambiance! Ne de olsa türk yemegini hic birsey tutmaz!!! :)

This is my fifth time coming to Thailand and each time I visit this place. The owners are super friendly and kind, they have been running this restaurant for ten years and food is amazing. You don’t have to be Turkish to like the foods, I especially like homemade mezes, pastry and drinks. It’s very clean and budget friendly. This is a place we come by each time we come to Phuket.
