Superb food & hospitality

Ate here as it was one of few restaurants we still had not eaten in closest to our hotel. Family run institution for over 30 years, great hospitality. Fresh red snapper for 200baht, incredible value. The family staff are great fun and laugh a minute whilst waiting for our dinner as it was very busy. I popped in the next day to grab some lunch on the way to Kata beach and found out unknowingly we had been eating at their family roadside offering at Kata beach run by the mother and father. 50 baht for any meal with rice. Great food. Whilst picking up my lunch the staff grabbed me few bottles of Chang and gave me a bottle opener to take to the beach.... don't worry I gave it back!

An added pleasure on this return

We keep returning each time we visit phuket because the food is so good and great value for money. The family and staff maintain great service and a new member of staff who seems to speak mandarin, Russian, Thai and very good English is a great asset as he welcomes people. We found this place at home and decided that we definitely needed to go. Very tasty food, Tom Yum is very tasty and reasonably priced 70 baht. Fried shrimp with garlic and pepper are beyond praise 👍🏻 Fresh juices are always delicious 🍹 They always put fruit for us while we wait, and when we leave they treat us and give us bananas to take home 🤗 Thank you very much! Great place for lunch and dinner

We came to this cafe based on reviews and were very pleased. We recommend it to everyone, tasty, relatively inexpensive, large selection of dishes. In this cafe I even drank a shake with ice (which is not recommended in Thailand) and there were no consequences. We tried lobster, it came out to 1260 baht in weight.

Great value for money

Food continues to be exceptional with great value for money. With less food options available now in Phuket due to the pandemic it would be worth taking at tuk tuk from any part of the island to this place. The staff continue cheerful and helpful in the face of pressing difficulties and the food is just exceptional.

Great place with delicious food

Great place with very tasty food. Shrimps with garlic are delicious, salads and fish are delicious. I liked the presentation on the table, decorated with flowers. While you wait for your order, they bring you a compliment of fresh fruit, and when you leave, they also give you bananas or tangerines! Always polite and smiling staff. There are a lot of visitors in the evening and this indicates the demand for this establishment. We really enjoyed! I definitely recommend visiting!

After 18:00 the tables are almost all packed. Already from the street the owner of the restaurant is beckoning you, the kitchen cannot cope with the heavy load, even a basic vegetable salad has to wait 45-60 minutes. Walking into the depths of the hall, you begin to understand why it takes so long to prepare. As soon as you are reminded about your order a couple of times, the hostess immediately starts screaming and this scream is picked up by the staff. The reason for the indignation is not clear, because it is not the guest’s problem that there are not enough cooks or the kitchen is too small. Continues solid value with amazing taste

Returning to this excellent family run restaurant is like coming home - the welcome is always warm sometimes even exuberant. The food continues to be some of the best in Thailand if not the world and value for money is amazing. We have been eating here for over 20 years and truly this is a Phuket icon and deserves at least one visit whilst you are here.

Delicious food

I came here with my husband on November 24 and the food was amazing. The owner and his family were so kind. We had delicious fresh lobster, chicken fried rice, and some yummy salad as an appetizer. I highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.

Our favourite seafood restaurant in Phuket

Kwong Shop Seafood is always a good choice for a family dinner. A wide selection in the menu, very tasty Thai food and seafood at moderate prices. Friendly staff and fast service. Kwong is really worth the prices - especially fish and shrimps have a good value for money. Highly recommended.

Great place, very tasty and inexpensive. I liked everything we took from the food, garlic shrimp (300 baht), tom yum (70 baht), pad thai (70 baht), pineapple rice (120 baht), rice with seafood (70 baht), oysters are simply divine! I liked the scallops too. They always brought a compliment in the form of fruit. Everyone is very polite and smiling. I definitely recommend it 👍

Great restaurant, friendly staff and very delicious dishes! Come as a family, the children were given toys, made fruit as a gift. The dishes were made quickly, everything is fine-tuned like clockwork!

Affordable, fresh seafood

Worth the visit to Kata beach for! Huge selection of seafood - we tried a lot of items including the prawns, oysters, fried seafood basket, garlic bread, a whole crab. The prawns were the recommended item, and rightfully so, as they were the best. Authentic experience. Not 5 star because not the best seafood I’ve ever had, but still very good.

Wide variety of good food

We visited this restaurant twice during our 5 day visit to Kata Beach and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The prawns with garlic and butter were particularly delicious while the prawns with garlic and pepper were less flavorful. The coconut was huge and sweet. Service was very good.
