We came across this small restaurant the first night by chance and immediately had a great impression.
Typical dishes are a delight, especially pad thai.
The prices are great for the quality of the food and the staff is very kind.
A special mention goes to the owner who unlike many others puts passion into his work without treating tourists like chickens to pluck.
If you pass by Kata Beach here the passage is a must.

Lovely spot for dinner!
We stayed in Kata beach for 5 nights and ate at Eightfold twice. Really lovely food and atmosphere, quiet and relaxing.
I am also coeliac and have struggled with finding gluten free options but it was great here. Plenty of options and great food and great prices.

This is a tiny little establishment on a back street, which is some ten minutes walk from Kata beach, and is not very well signed posted, but once found is well worth the visit simply because of the quality of the food and the service one receives.
My wife and I had read really good reviews of this establishment before we left to visit Thailand/Kata beach, so we felt it was only right that we set aside some time to visit this little bespoke restaurant. I'm so glad we did.
My wife's nephew was staying with us for the weekend as he's teaching in Bangkok, so he flew down to stay with us in our hotel for two nights. We took him to this particular place, and we ordered, between us, four drinks, three starters, two main courses, and two sweets. It all came to less than 800 thb. The food was as impeccable as the service. It was delivered shortly after ordering, and the service was very attentive. I would highly recommend eating here. You won't regret it, and neither will your wallet.

Following a recommendation that this was a coeliac friendly restaurant we had to give it a go. With a leafy facade it feels fresh just walking in. I had Vegetable Panang which was amazing. My wife had vegetable pad thai and put son a chicken burger and chips (of course!) Service was friendly, it seemed to be family run and for us to all eat and have soft drinks it cost about £12, fantastic!

We really enjoy dinner here. We requested spicy food and we actually got it (not like other restaurants in Kata). Delicious food. Well thought for children as well with set of cuttery for kids. Great service. We really recommend this place.

Went here for dinner after reading previous reviews. We went early as we read it gets busy. We ordered shrimp fried rice (ending up getting two portions), crispy garlic shrimps with a gorgeous dipping sauce and chicken and cashew nuts. All delivered fresh and tasty. The white wine isn’t too bad either.

Visited with the family, had to wait for a table which tells you how popular the restaurant is, but we’re seated in 10-15mins
The set up is basic, but this is all about home cooked, fresh food. We’ve eaten in many Thai restaurants all over Thailand and this is definitely up with the best.
Service was excellent and food quality and choice was excellent.
Well worth a visit.

Very tasty food and at one of the lowest prices compared to other establishments on Kata Beach. The people serving the guests are so hospitable and polite that you want to come again and again, we found this place on the third day of our vacation and for the rest of the week and a half we only went here, everything was very tasty. Very often in the evening there is a line of guests, because it’s full (the establishment is small), I highly recommend it!

The food here is simply excellent. A must visit when in Kata Beach. Staff is also very kind and the menu has enough “western” items for your kids if they prefer non local food. However, it’s the local food that should be the reason you visit. Don’t get me wrong: my son had a better pizza here than he had in Milan of all places, but the local food is simply the best.

We ended up here after our taxi driver scuppered our plans when he kicked us out of the taxi en route to another restaurant because he was running out of fuel! His loss, our gain. A quick
search threw up this place so we gave it a try. There was a wait for a table so we had a drink down the road and good enough the hostess came looking for us when a table became available.
We always play a game of marking our food out of 10 and we all gave it top marks. My penang curry was as I’d asked for, spicy, and it was exactly that. The phad Thai and basil stir fry were equally as good. The service was very good and the wine by the glass very reasonable.
On a slightly different note, the menus were ultra clean, too many of even the higher end restaurants hand out grubby menus that have been handled thousands of times, Eightfold’s menus were clean and fresh.
This is a small restaurant not on the main strip but if you want tasty food at a good price then this is definitely worth a trip.

We really struggled to find a restaurant in Phuket who understood and supported true Gluten Free options which we needed for our daughter who is a coeliac.
Eightfold was amazing!! They not only had gluten free options but understood what was needed to support her dietary needs.
The food was amazing, tasty, good quality and the service was exceptional. The staff even called us a taxi to return to our hotel.
We were so impressed we visited 2 nights in a row.
We highly recommend this restaurant and its incredible food and staff - Eightfold is a must to visit if you’re in Kata or the surrounding areas - you will not be disappointed.

I'm coeliac and ate at Eightfold four times and had take-away once during my stay at Kata Beach. The staff are very knowledgeable about gluten free and were able to advise me on which dishes were safe, they took my order and repeated it back to me to clarify it was GF. It was a relief to be able to feel safe while still being able to eat traditional dishes, the prawn Pad Thai was a favourite. Both my non-gluten free partner and I found the food delicious, the staff lovely and the cafe delightful and would recommend Eightfold.

Oh my word I can’t praise this place enough.. it’s only small but has a BIG punch. The food is amazing so much so we had to change our eating habits, it got so full in the evenings that we decided to eat in the late afternoon. It was the highlight of our holiday. The owner was lovely and had the time to talk to us during the day, an impossible task at nighttime. All of the staff were good. The food though not expensive was WOW, I believe his wife cooks the food. Keep doing what you’re doing as you’ve got the best food/service around

We are here for lunch and being gluten free I am usually quite limited with choices, but the waitress confirmed they can make most of their Thai dishes gluten free! She even showed me the bottle of sauce with gluten free labelled! This was so reassuring as it has been difficult eating out in Asia! I had the cashew nut and my partner had the green curry! Food was lovely and service great!

Just rediscovered this lovely restaurant in Kata. I visited it for years and was not disappointed.
The staff was smiling, as always, and the food was still excellent.
I can only recommend this little authentic restaurant, where you get time to eat your dishes, without the staff standing and tripping to get the table free, to the next.
A benefit to reserve, but remember to be there on time, otherwise the table is given to some other guests.
