Called in a few times now (Sunday lunch and weekday evening). It's ideally placed for us either at the end of a long journey to our hols or at the start, so useful to call in to get the eating out of the way. They...More

Don't be fooled by the old fashioned surroundings and the swirly carpet in the restaurant. The food is delicious, all home cooked, including gravy, stuffing and puddings, and the staff friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced too. This is a proper old pub, not a...More

We had a lovely meal here a couple of sundays ago. The pork loin melted in the mouth and the cider was very much to my husbands liking. Also excellent service, highly recommended. Valerie

We used to visit here quite regularly as the food is brilliant and good value for money. However it recently came to light that the hygiene standard was awarded poor and therefore we do not go anymore, shame!

Met our friends for dinner. The establishment was lovely and warm with friendly staff. All ordered something different and our plates were clean when we finished. A starter was missed but they offered a free sweet to make up for this. My only suggestion to...More

Hi, My name is Julian and I am the proprietor of The Cottage Inn, Keenthorne. I was reading your review which seemed all normal until the mention of roasted onions and squash included in the vegetable selection. As we don not serve this I think you may have reviewed the wrong Cottage Inn. Not overly a big problem but just wanted to let you know. Kind regards Julian

Curry night is Mondays. I haven't been to one of those yet, but knowing the Cottage Inn, the standard will be excellent. I'm sure they'll have a gluten-free option, but check.
