The menu is intelligently and imaginatively thought out, offering traditional dishes and some interesting alternatives. During our week in Cornwall and based in Coverack, we ate three times at The Old Lifeboat House and each time we had excellent food. The curries deserve special mention, in my opinion being more Sri Lankan influenced than Indian, being more delicately spiced and... More

We ate at this restaurant three nights on our recent stay in Coverack and found the menu to be large and varied enough for the size of covers. The food was well presented, cooked to perfection and large portions. The resturant was clean and airy with lovely views across the bay and beyond. The service was good and the staff... More

Not many options in Coverack for an evening meal. However, the restaurant isn't complacent. It has a small but interesting menu. We both plumped for the seafood lasagne which was tasty as well as being a large portion. We were glad we hadn't ordered starters. We didn't have to wait too long fir the food but the views over the... More

Had fish and chips from here last evening. Allegedly cooked to order, the chips were luke warm, the fish although hot was dwarfed by the greasy batter with odd black patches. £15 for two portions! We are locals and feel they are taking advantage of our many visitors. If you want good f&c go to the Paris Hotel ( just... More

Absolutely fantastic surprise, such warm and welcoming people, delicious food and great local larger. Exceptionally good value for money and delicious deserts. Wish I'd discovered it sooner as I'd have happily eaten there every day.

I thought Coverack couldn't get any better... I was wrong. A fabulous lamb Dhansak and a Chicken Saag Walu and for those that prefer a more traditional seaside meal, there are plenty of seafood and meat dishes as well as vegetarian options to choose from. The kids meals were good, including a free ice cream and drink. A vie across... More

A lovely place to eat and a great choice of fresh fish. We were lucky to have the seat in the window overlooking the sea where gannets were diving in large numbers. We were shown a selection of freshly caught fish and went for the sea bream. A lovely meal and setting.

I've been coming here over the years and it just wows people with the panoramic view over the bay. The food has always been very good, though I haven't tried there new line of fish and chips. They always have a good selection of seafood and as well as the main menu there are daily specials. I had a monkfish... More

Went on a damp Saturday morning but were cheered by the welcome. Limited parking but was ok for us. Signage for the entrance needs to be more prominant. We had a table in the window of this old Lifeboat station which gave us a great outlook to sea and coast. Needs a bit of a tidyup outside though. Menu had... More
