Recently visited for Sunday lunch. Had a really enjoyable visit with great food. Never rushed and a very relaxing afternoon. Looking forward to our next visit.

The bread of my sandwich was really stale. After I sent it back, the bread on the replacement wasn't much better and was served with a salad consisting of a couple of limp lettuce leaves, 2 cherry tomato halves and a dollop of salad dressing....More

We live locally and visit The Grove Lock most weeks. In fairness it's mostly for a drink only, and just before the evening 'rush'. This evening (Monday) we ate and had a perfectly satisfactory meal. It wasn't busy and the staff were very friendly. Prices...More

Do make sure when you arrive to be wearing your high viz jackets !!! For a pub lunch, I am amazed at all the health and safety questions and medical history asked while ordering in front of other customers. Having said that, the lady behind...More

Great location next to the Grand Union Canal. Plenty of car parking available. Menu rather disappointing, hasn't changed for ages. Staff friendly and helpful, pleasant afternoons spent here, watching boats use the lock.Just wish they would change the menu sometimes. I would think in the height of summer...More

Unfortunately it was a cold overcast evening as it is situated in a pleasant area overlooking the lock and canal and it would have been nice to sit outside. The wait staff were extremely pleasant, and efficient. The menu offers good choices at reasonable prices....More

Thank you so much for your 5 star review, its just a pity the sun isn't showing its face much at the moment, as our garden is lovely in fine weather, look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again Karen and the team.

Beside Lock 28 of the Grand Union Canal, lies a shining example of the great English pub. The Grove Lock serves up hearty food, traditional ales and wonderful views over the water.
