Everything here is done to a high standard from the welcome and ambiance as you enter to the quality and quantity if the food. We can only judge by the light lunch we had but this is a great place to start/end a walk in beautiful Coverdale. In its own right it is a great venue but as a community... More

After reading rave reviews and on personal recommendation, we felt we had to visit this pub when staying in the area. Although we had booked we were given a table in the bar, even though there is a separate dining area. This was the first disappointment. We were pointed to our table, and no offer was made to get us... More

Four of us stayed at The Forresters on Friday 20th March and had a lovely meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bedrooms particularly in view of the fact that dogs are allowed in the rooms as well as the bar. There are some nice touches like fresh milk in a small fridge on the landing for... More

Great Sunday lunch, great breakfast, friendly staff and a real comfortable bed. Will stop here again if we head to the dales again.

We ate here twice on a recent visit to the Yorkshire dales. First of all the character of the pub is great, especially on a cold evening, really warm with welcoming staff. The menu was really interesting with classic british dishes but with a little thought going into their composition. The first time we ate here the food was great... More

We had been recommended to this pub/restaurant so decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The staff were so very friendly and obliging. The food was delicious and extremely well-presented. There was a happy and relaxed atmosphere within the pub and we chatted to some locals who ate here regularly - a very good indication of good food.... More

we were delighted to find this inn, annex B&B. in every dish they add I don't know what, but it makes their dishes just a little bit better than the average AA 4star inn's. The chef really knows to use the good mix of fresh food with the ideal mix of spices,.... the interior is very cosy, warm and the... More

We ate here three times recently. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is good. However on the third occasion, despite booking a table, we waited 90 minutes for our food. The pub was very busy, but they seemed to have taken more orders than they could cope with. There was no explanation offered for the delay, which would... More
