Yesterday we celebrated my parents 60th wedding anniversary at Levantine Hill Estate. It was a fabulous day from start to finish. I had taken my parents here 2 years ago for lunch and they decided this was were they wanted to come for this special anniversary lunch. We had the share menu with wine and we were not disappointed. All the waitresses and waiters were lovely and congratulated my parents on 60 years of marriage. We even got something a little extra from the chef which was delicious, as was all the food. Everyone was so helpful, cheerful and kind. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it all. Before we left they even gave my parents a very generous gift which they where thrilled and overwhelmed by. It is not cheap but we felt worth the money especially for such a special occasion. We will definitely be back again.

Went out for a day trip in the Yarra Valley, and unfortunately the restaurant I had hoped to go to was closed due to being the new year. Having been to Ezard's in the CBD, I decided to detour here at Levantine Hill. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque, and worth a short exploration before or after your meal. I advise knowing which menu you would like to go for beforehand, as I was after the degustation, and was seated in the a la carte section. I then had to ask for a degustation menu and was re-seated in the Signature section (the distinction is not overly advertised). I had the seven course chef's menu, with the additional course offering (which they were flexible in my being able to order this mid-course). Wine pairing was available, however not taken advantage of due to driving solo. This included a selection of four house snacks; wattleseed sourdough/cultured butter; tuna; goat's cheese cappelletti; aylesbury duck; lamb; wagyu sirloin; pain perdu; ice cream; and petit fours. Food was expectedly exceptional, and service was en pointe. Anticipate several hours during this pleasing degustation.

I spent my 30th birthday here and had a great time. The restaurant is set in lovely grounds and has a nice open, modern interior. We had the grazing menu, which was sort of a fixed tapas menu where they brought a few dishes out at a time. While it was a little confusing as to how many plates would be coming out there was more than enough to fill up on. The plates themselves were beautifully presented and the food was delicious. A few people in the group had dietary requirements and at times it wasn't clear whether they were going to be provided with enough alternative dishes, but towards the end extra options were brought out so everyone left happy. Highly recommended if you'd like a tasty, relaxed lunch with brilliant wine! As an unexpected extra bonus I was gifted a lovely bottle of wine by Levantine... this capped off a great afternoon!

The service was great and the staff friendly, very clean, however the menu was different/unusual, for me anyway I was looking for brunch while traveling back to my home in Gippsland Seasonal snacks and 2 dishes of my choice was on offer for $80 As I was seated I thought why not have a gastronomical experience The snacks I received were 2 dips , pickled vegs, (tasteless & hard, not crisp), olives, a dish that has one mini (and I mean mini) meatball, a falafel (hard) and one chip, I enjoyed the chip, plus a roll for tearing and enjoying the dips. The roll and dips were very good. For the mains (well they weren't mains as I had expected) I ordered the Cauliflower Samosa, I had an average size Samosa and a spoon full of pickles, it was nice. My 2nd main was Lamb rump with spiced yoghurt, pickled eggplant with fennel. It was one slice of meat 1 cm deep, laid on the yoghurt with 3 slivers of raw fennel on top, and what I would judge to be a quarter slice of baby eggplant underneath. The meat was raw, not to say rare but actually raw, I can eat rare lamb but prefer med rare, my first mouthful was unchewable, I removed it and hid it in the Yoghurt, OK there was a bit that had a tinge of grey so I tried for that, wouldn't cut, checked and found it had a small piece of bone in it, gave up, I left it with the raw meat clearly visible to the staff who would remove the plate, I did enjoy a chardonnay with the meal for which I was charged an additional $22. Lesson learned. By the way, if you want 4 choices the cost is $135 and for 6 $195

After spending months in lockdown l decided to take my family out for lunch at Levantine hill (what a mistake that was). The staff were amazing but the food was well below par, especially for the price you pay and the portion sizes are very small which is shared. l would recommend looking at other winery in the area and bypassing this one. * Rating

I have been to Levantine Hill several times over the years. The winery itself and the views are one of the best in the Yarra Valley. Had lunch here with family and seated in the "wine barrel tables" was great. Not fully private but somewhat separated form the rest of the restaurant was really nice. The new middle eastern menu where you select from 3, 5 or 7 dishes has a nice range. The food itself, like always, was very good. What you would expect for the high prices you are paying although some dishes were a little small given the price. However, as with my previous lunch here about 18 months ago, there are a several issues and I'm afraid I would not return. I had 2 young children and there is no children options. Not even a small size selection. The children must have the 3 course $80 option. The service was again poor. It took over 3 and 1/2 hours for lunch with long wait times between the courses. Had to call and ask several times for water and wine top ups (they missed the opportunity to sell more wine there). Also, didn't get plate changes between courses which again is poor given the price being paid. all up $850 for 4 adults and 2 children with one $47 bottle of wine.

Well I think to talk about a restaurant and winery like this you firstly need to do some research. It has been created through money, over 100m invested in great grounds and buildings...So they are going to be looking for a return..which comes in the form of over priced wines and degustation menus. Money buys everything and thus the place presents well. We started with a great table but rapidly fell apart with lipstick on the glass...and not seen or double checked before pouring the water. The menu can at first look confusing but once u understand the concept it makes sense. The use of the word " snacks" when we have so many adjectives in the culinary language was quite odd. It also wasn't well explained and they stuck to the concept of snacks will be sent out. We wanted essentially a app, main, dessert type set up so went for the 5 course meaning 4 choices and snacks for 145pp not including any wines. By the time we ordered a glass of wine each , $41 for a rose sparkling each..we were already hitting 360$ , for sure a second glass of something was to follow and you are up into 400$ .. Service issues meant we had two people asking us for initial drinks and the over priced rose, for its quality, left alot to be desired. The snacks were great, good presentation but overall not the highest standard. The scallops were fantastic We were asked how the snapper was, but hadn't had it. Service trip up. When it came, it was slightly oily and charred but good presentation. Main course chicken wasn't spectacular, infact it was just a fresh piece, confit leg, but not really. The pork main was essentially a thick cut piece of ham. I wouldn't say anything wrong, but rather plain tasting. By the time we had done on mains, we couldn't be bothered with continuing to dessert and with a 130 reservation, it was now almost 4pm and we wanted to race out and find dessert elsewhere. We left a good tip, for Australia, and 500$ later we departed looking for a sweet ending. Their wines are all massively over priced and having my own 600 bottle wine cellar,$ 200 for a Bordeaux style blend would get you a hell of a great "actual" Bordeaux and even a decent henschke! The service, as with most high end restaurants in Australia, needs massively sharpening for the price of a 500$ lunch. I guarantee the gm is not compensated according to the property and prices, instead by award level and thus you pay peanuts you get.... The place needs a serious service director, professional, hands on, no attitude, leave your personality at home and aim high. Service should be impeccable. Put the chef back on the hot line from the pass, use a smart expeditor in between. You can get a 2 course with carafe wine at a 2 star michelin in London Mayfair for 35£ , amuse bouche prior, and Petit fours post.

Lovely environment. Disappointing arrangement with food and wine and so overpriced The Ora salmon dish was disgusting, foul tasting. We had to ask for clean plates and cutlery when moving from seafood to meat dishes. Service was way too fast for a degustation. A sameness to the spice in most dishes. Won’t be back until it’s more user friendly.

Had lunch with 4 of us. The menu was only on a "share" basis and the cheapest of these was a choice of 3 courses but the chef chooses the first and you choose the other 2. The chef's choice comes insufficient breads and then they charge you if you request more - which we did. The following 2 courses were chicken legs, one small leg each, and a beef munti which is 99% small pasta (clearly "beef' being a misnomer). Both courses were very small for 4 people. The cheapest bottle of red wine was $110. The lunch cost us $600 for 4 people and our 2 guests ended up getting MacDonalds on their way home as they were so hungry. Would not recommend. The service was very good but for those prices, you expect the food to be excellent and sufficient - and it wasn't.

This place is an overpriced tourist restaurant dressing itself up as a classy winery restaurant. Not only is it completely overpriced, the food is no better than an average suburban cafe. The "house made hommus" was obviously plated up into it's little serving bowl in the morning (or yesterday) and put in the fridge, so it had a dry skin on the outside. And it wasn't even a good hommus...no better than the supermarket. And don't even start of the Labne. More like dessert yogurt..sweet and creamy. I can't even be bothered to talk about how average the rest of the meal was. This place was probably great when Ezard was the chef, but its clearly just trading on it's legacy. Expensive and suburban quality. Give it a miss.

After looking forward to a post lockdown treat were we very disappointed to find that the once elegant dishes on the menu had been replaced by a very ordinary selection not reflective of the price tag or surroundings. Pleasant enough but nothing special. Check you seating arrangements too when you book. Seating in the marque in response to social distancing is quite shabby in comparison to the more lavish interior in the front part. We won’t bother going back. T

The food for Adults was good quality fine dining, highly over priced at $145 per person and left you hungry. The kids were offered one main and one dessert for $90 per head. All three kids under the age of 10 received “1”lamb cutlet and ice cream that was the same on offer for adults. The Service was terrible, plates on the table were not cleared, we had to ask twice and felt like cafe style service - cutlery coming after the desserts arrived. Paid $25 per person for tasting three wines even though we chose 2 of the bottles for lunch. Furthermore paid 15 percent surcharge for it being a Sunday(not a public holiday) on top of all of that and for such bad service. Total cost for 4 adults and 3 kids was $1300.

We booked Levantine Hill as it was one of the only wineries in the YV able to accommodate our larger group size for our work Christmas lunch and it was recommended, as Grosvenor has previously dined there for a function. Eva was absolutely amazing at assisting me with the booking, ensuring that everyones specific dietary requirements were catered for and that the table looked stunning on the day (as I'd popped down the weekend before to drop off some chrissy decs!). The food was spectacular, perfect portion sizes and came out consistently without too long a wait, or too soon. The quality of everything was amazing as well. The wine and sparkles we had was also sublime. Bree's table service was also really great and they made sure all dietary dishes were well explained to those having them and I didn't have to worry about someone accidentally eating something they weren't able to. The views are amazing and the marquee is the perfect place to be if you prefer a more covered dining area, but the deck next to us also looked great. The only constructive feedback I have is regarding the helicopters - its cool to see them fly people in an out maybe once or twice, but as the day went on it became more annoying, as it obviously was loud and you had to stop conversations etc til they had taken off/landed and they blew up leaves/dust etc., which wasn't an issue under the marquee, but for those on the deck I can imagine it may have been more of an annoyance. Overall though, absolutely perfect day and my whole team really enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend Levantine Hill for both a personal and work lunch/event. It is a higher priced venue, but definitely worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Such a friendly welcoming set the scene perfectly. Fabulous outlook over the vines and olive trees, airy and light settings. Every element of the seasonal starter was great. The cauliflower samosas were fab BUT OMG the presentation and taste of the scallops alone is not to be missed - a big congrats to the kitchen for this dish. The wine sampler and the refreshingly jargon-free description of the three whites was wonderful. Our waitress was soooo nice and made us feel welcome and appreciated from the moment we sat down. A great way to spend time in the valley.

We wanted to book a special ding experience for my wife for her birthday. This venue looked sepecial and we opted for the share 5 for $145. This included a chefs selection of seasonal snacks and four other courses at our choice. We really enjoyed the meals and it was costly and our only comment is that main courses could be a little more generous in serving size. Our female server was very good. As it was my wifes birthday celebration we rerceived a complimentary bottle of wine which appeared to be worth $200 in the bottle shop.
