Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Situated in an idyllic setting that overlooks vineyards and the green valley. The wine pourer was friendly and informative, the regular wine selection is that of their table wines; for better quality I'd suggest trying the not-listed options (especially the Tempranillo and older cabs). Definitely...worth a stop.More

My wife Jane and I often say the Yarra Valley lacks a really good five star restaurant, we are wrong, Tokar is it! We were there for our belated joint birthdays, we couldn't have chosen better. The food was sensational as were the staff views...and ambience inside. Thanks Danny, Bella and owner, Rita. GEOFF and JANE COOPERMore

Attended as part of the Fireside Yarra Valley Festival with a group of friends. The table, outlook, staff and service were excellent. The set menu offering was great value for money and I would recommend the venue to anyone travelling to the Yarra Valley. The...only downside being a self entitled "influencer" on another table who decided to complain about the restaurant noise to staff whilst setting up her equipment in the middle of her table and recording the "experience" - hope it wasn't a freebie Tokar!More

We dined for Sunday lunch & dined on the 3 course menu. For entree I had the rainbow trout, for main I had the grilled lamb (with shared sides of roast potatoes & winter slaw) & for dessert I had the earl grey brulee. I...also enjoyed a few Rita likes ginger cocktails. All the food & cocktails were delicious & well presented. As we were celebrating our anniversary we got the best table next to the window & on the beautiful sunny day we visited the view was divine to match the food, drinks & service. Our waiters Charlotte & Dani were amazing & friendly. I hope to return & enjoy the choc fondant as hubby had that for dessert & I had total food envy. Recommend as a lovely fine dining restaurant.More
