Thoroughly recommend for weddings

Our daughter recently married at the Vines. In a stressful time that required rescheduling due to Covid, they were overwhelmingly helpful and solution focused with helpful suggestions to make the reschedule work. More importantly the food, wait service and venue itself where excellent and helped ensure an incredibly special day. Thank you!!!

This place is great for a wedding. Staff were first class. The food was the one that let this place be an average. I had pork belly for main. It was juicy but the fat was not crackled and it was only like warm. Sweets I had sticky date with licorice ice cream. Strange to have these together. The ice cream was cold and so was the sticky date.

We visited here as part of our wine tour and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. We went back the next day and there was another tour in,staff memeber remembered us from yesterday we told her we where happy to wait. Another lovely run family businesses.

Well set up winery with pizza options along with wine from $11/glass & platters of cheese & sliced shortcut meats. Warm inside on a cold windy day, dining in spacious room or outdoors near fire pit.

Went to have wine tasting and cheese platter on a voucher bought on Cudos Lovely bush setting Great family mother and son looked after us, great heathcote syrah, fabulous cheese on cheese platter really great quality cheese. Nice bubbles as well .Look for the cheese boards made from wine barrels great value for an Australian made product.You can also get a small range of sweet treats. Have already bought another voucher as soon as we got home.On weekends they have hot snacks and pizza .

Daughters Perfect Wedding

We celebrated our Daughters Wedding here. Our day was one of total perfection. We arrived at the Vines on 31 Aug to an amazing setting of tables which were just stunning . The new improvements to the venue are fantastic so much space. Views are breathtaking. Food was delicious. Food looked great and was complimented with the most beautiful wines. We were well looked after by Jeanette, Angela and all the staff. We are most grateful to Jeanette and Angela for their advise and guidance not only on the lead up to the day but also their love and understanding on the day. We are delighted that the event was one of perfection and everyone enjoyed themselves. I have never been to such a happy or lovelier wedding in my life. You made a special day Magical and one that has touched many hearts. Can not thank you enough! Anyone holding a wedding here has very solid backing for a brilliant day!

Lovin’ the sparkling!!

This is a fabulous winery in Coldstream in the Yarra Valley. The winemakers and staff there were fantastic and Alex and Scott and Narissa are so friendly and explained their beautiful wines and method. They also have a great outdoor deck area where you can order scrumptious pizzas and antipasto boards. And they also gave a range of beers!! A delightful afternoon grazing with friends over a couple of glasses of great wine! Well done, can’t wait to come back. 👍🍷🥂

We got married at The Vines in March 2019 and couldn’t be happier that we chose this stunning venue!! Angela and all staff members were attentive, understanding and prompt with all areas of the wedding. The food was delicious - everyone complimented on how much food there was and how everything was of such high quality. Amazing!! Amazing!! Amazing!!

Went here for a wedding celebration last weekend. What an awesome place, cannot fault it. Awesome scenery, fantastic service and food. Would highly recommend this place for a wedding venue. Sorry cannot say anything about the wines as I am a non drinker. But if you are looking for a venue or even a day visit to the winery please go and have a look

We went to a friend's wedding celebration in Vines Helen's Hill, Lilydale last weekend. We wouldn't get a chance to explore the food and venue here as it's pretty far from where we're at. It was a long driving on the weekend and took us around 1.5 hour but it was worth it as the place was very beautiful and had great view. The ambience and vibe in this place was cosy and great with the great views of vineyards especially from upstairs. There would be 3 course meals served on every guest and randomly served according to table number (odd / even). The customer service was friendly, nice and very professional. Entree: - Salt and pepper Calamari fried with ponzu dressing, wasabi aioli on a shiso, bean shoot, tatsoi salad. - Potato gnocchi with smoked chicken, bacon, pine nuts, wild roquette, salsa verde, four-chesse sauce *** served on me The dish had great presentation, it was served warm and creamy. Unfortunately, the taste of the sauce was slightly bland and lack of seasoning. In addition, the gnocchi itself was slightly overcooked as it was too soft. Main: - Black Angus eye fillet, semolina gnocchi and red wines jus with pumpkin pickle. - Pork Belly slowly roasted for 12 hours, celeriac puree, apple-walnut crumble roasted root vegetables, raisin verjus. *** served on me The pork belly was cooked and seasoned well. It was very tender and juicy; The skin pork was well roasted as well. It was recommended compared to the Black Angus. I didn't get a chance to try the black angus fillet, but had a conversation from the person next to me and in front of me. They didn't finish it because they told me that it was very bland and lack of seasoning. On my table, there were 3 out of 5 plates had left over black angus fillet but none left over for the pork belly. Despite of this, both dishes had really good presentation and appealing from the outside especially for the Black Angus fillet. Dessert: - Sticky fig pudding, maple walnut ice cream, fluid maple, butterscotch sauce. I didn't take the photo of this one because my partner finished three quarter of it and shared with me. It didn't look really nice if I took that photo. Anyway, we loved the sticky fig pudding with ice cream. It wasn't too sweet and balance taste. Not the best sticky pudding we've ever tried but the overall taste was slightly above average. - Banoffee cannelloni, banana cream in fried pasty with toffee sauce. *** served on me Personally, we loved the sticky pudding compared to the Banoffee cannelloni. The taste of banoffee wasn't bad; it was delicious, tasty and creamy. It was a warm dessert which would go well in the winter time but not in the Spring / Summer time. The weather was pretty warm on that day and it didn't work quite well having warm dessert. By improvisizing and adding a scoop of ice cream would be better on this dessert. Overall, it was an absolutely great venue to have wedding or engagement celebration in this place. The food wasn't that bad and still reasonable price for the 3 course meals. Service: 4.0 Taste: 3.0 Yay: Pork Belly, Sticky fig pudding Nay: Black Angus eye fillet **** BIG NO NO!!

Absolutely amazing

From the moment we drove up the drive way- we were blown away. Food was amazing, views are breathtaking and the service was exceptional. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The sparkling was one of the nicest we have tasted.... We will defiantly be back. Thank you to Franco for making our day memorable

Room with a view

From the time we walked into this lovely restaurant we felt welcome. The staff were incredible and service brilliant. The food was incredible and presentation perfect. We cannot recommend more highly. Thank you to all the staff at Vines Helens Hill.
