Having had a very enjoyable meal at the Kilpeck Inn last year we were looking forward to our booking this year. Three of us had the “Sunday Roast”. The pork loin was tender, but cold. The cider gravy and apple sauce were tasteless, the braised...More

We arrived for lunch yesterday and were amazed at the efficiency at the bar as we were a very large group. We were allowed to choose a table for six, overlooking the garden. Our meal was promptly served by smiling young ladies and they were...More

We stayed for one night at The Kilpeck Inn. We had dinner and breakfast, staff could not have been friendlier. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and really spacious. Food was good, very fairly priced and we liked the fact that they used local,...More

Recently visited for a drink and a snack with my young daughter. There were a lot of other families present with young children. When we were about to leave the owner came outside and was screaming at a teenage member of staff who was apparently...More

Dear Fred. Apologies if you overheard this incident - the person involved was not in fact the owner, but a chef having a brief but 'heated' conversation with his teenage son in the kitchen, nothing to do with being late for work and certainly not...More

The reason I go to The Kilpeck Inn is to get away from it all, it is my perfect escape and an oasis of peace in the beautiful, rolling landscape of Herefordshire. The food is a combination of fresh, high quality local produce skilfully made...More

Called in for a meal with family and thought how nice it all seemed. Friendly staff lovely and clean and in a lovely setting. But sadly I was left very disappointed. My vegatarian choice was not actually vegetarian. The pasta dish contained parmesan and I...More

Hi Zara. Thanks for your review, but I thought would just point out that we use a vegetarian parmesan (Gran Albiero) on our vegetarian dishes, and we have a separate fryer just that's just used for chips so as not to contaminate them with either...More

Recently had lunch with friends .... a varied selection on the lunch menu. I ordered Roasted Mustard Ham, eggs and chips. The ham was tender but no taste of mustard and eggs were hard .... not 'runny' as would be expected with this dish. Fairly...More

Description
Located in the rural Herefordshire, the historic Kilpeck Inn was sympathetically restored in 2009 to extend the dining area and add accommodation. It still retains its special character and offers a warm welcome, friendly service and top quality food sourced from local suppliers. Come and sit by the fireplace and enjoy a pint of local ale, eat at the bar or in our refurbished restaurant or stay in one of our luxurious en-suite bedrooms.
