On holiday in the Cussay area & this gem was recommended to us by the lady looking after our cottage. If you fancy visiting this restaurant you will have to book well in advance. For €14 you get 4 courses + wine. We started with...a buffet starter which includes various meats/boiled egg/a mixture of tomato potato egg etc. For the main I had the beef with chips & lettuce. The next course is various cheeses & the dessert. There were various desserts but I plumped for the cheesecake style with a raspberry jus. Service was excellent & all paced just about right. I really recommend this restaurant if you fancy a taste of France.More

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here last Sunday. Delicious buffet starters and main course cooked to order then desserts. My husband loved his tasting plate of desserts! Amazing value for money and everyone was so friendly.
We had dinner here on a Friday evening. The value for money is as mentioned in other reviews, the food is excellent, the ambience is classically French, the view is fab and there is a decent wine list. The owner chef and his server are...very friendly, lots of French people eating there, says it all really. Thank you Mark and your team for a great night.More
Four of us had the standard 4 course dinner and it was truly superb value. We don't know how the owner makes any money given that the food quality was of a v.good standard but the price is so low. We recommend it highly -...just go there!More
Our good friend Innis has lived in the village of Ferriere-Larcon for many years and has seen several incarnations of this restaurant. Under the guidance of its current owner, Mark, it is so successful that it is often difficult to get a table for lunch...without booking some time ahead. During our stay we were fortunate to be able to eat there twice. The first time was for lunch with the set four courses that others have described. Good local food served in an atmosphere of village conviviality does not get much better so it was with great delight that we were able to go to a barbeque on the Saturday evening. Sitting at long tables under a warm night sky we had whitebait, then various meats which just kept coming finally desserts all to the accompaniment of interested chatter (we being the only English people there) and a cafe music duo. In truth it would have been difficult to imagine a better way to conclude a delightful two week stay in France. Thank you Mark and thank you Innis.More
Brilliant place for lunch. Overlooking the village pond is a great view so grab a window seat if you can We had the menu du jour. Fabulous value four courses and for mains a choice of lamb parmentier with sweet potato, cod with fabulous ratatouille...that covers us. Beef was also a choice. Great service too and the owner/chef is so obliging and welcoming. Top notchMore
Not far from the villages of Le Grand Pressigny and Le Petit Pressigny you could easily drive past without noticing, but don't for you would miss an excellent meal and an attractive little restaurant. We went there for lunch and the four of us had...an excellent three course meal at a very competitive price, including wine. The buffet starter was appetising, with plenty of choice and the main course had three choices all well presented. Dessert was also buffet style and I was very tempted to grab two because they all looked so delicious. The chef, barman and waiter (three for the price of one) was attentive despite being so busy, and made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place to go.More
A popular, lively and enjoyable restaurant, run by Marc, a one man band! His slick service follows a set formula, with a self service cold buffet of salad, cold meat starters, Marc cooks to order a choice of mains, and theres a great choice of...local cheeses and a delicious selection of desserts to choose from. A leisurely lunch with wine was full of smiles and enthusiasm for the quality and choice of food Service can be slow, but when in France a two hour lunch chatting to friends and neighbours is normal.More
