Update, the old shop is now shut we are locating to a new location at shop 12/11 Hilton Terrace Noosaville approx may 2019. we look forward to seeing you all there with a bigger and better shop with a lot more to offer. This restaurant has been around for more than 50 years - it is an icon in Noosaville. The current owner is Gary Roser. It is the best fish and chips ever - and it has 3 chefs cooking up a storm! We guarantee we have the best calamari in Noosa and also have a range of FRESH fish.

Excellent fish, calamari and chips

We had snapper, crumbed and grilled, a serve of calamari and $4 chips. This was a great meal for 2 as a takeaway nicely packed with lemon slices and hand wipes. The calamari rings were outstanding, super tender. We shall be going back.

Fresh seafood and fish and chips in Noosa

Like everyone on a holiday being in a seaside location you feel like a meal of fish and chips. The worry being with several stores and cafes serving fish and chips, where is the best place to go. We tried the Noosaville Fish Market as wanting a traditional fish and chip shop take away option. We were not disappointed. The servings were a good size and all the seafood was fresh and well cooked. We were happy with the quality and freshness of the snapper, prawn cutlets, squid rings etc. The meal was enjoyable and no issues with the heaviness of "deep frying" that you sometimes suffer with after a meal of fish and chips. For those people that prefer to cook their own seafood, the store also has a large range of seafood that you can buy to take home and cook yourself. A pleasant meal on holiday.

Fish 'n' Chips for one (or two)

$9.50 fish and chips for one comes with lemon and home-made tartare sauce. We bought one battered and one crumbed. They were just delicious. Even the chips were good - and not soggy! Lovely shop and really friendly staff.

Twice recently we've bought fish and chips from Noosaville Fish Market. The first the serving of whiting (4 pieces)_ was overcooked hard and dry. The scallops were greasy and fatty. Last night we tried again thinking that the last purchase was just a one off. Wrong! The chips were overcooked, dry and hard, tasted horrible. A piece of Parrot fish was rubbery and unpalatable. Whoever is cooking this mess needs a lesson in how to cook fish and chips. They used to have lovely fish and chips. Will not be going there ever again. A very expensive waste of money for a very poor quality of a meal. Will try Noosa Marina next time.

Food quality and value for money review.

When I first moved to Noosa in 2015 this shop was in a little hut further along the road. Since moving to their new location their prices have gone right up and in recent times the quality of the food is not as good as it used to be. I used to order the vegetarian burger on a regular basis however wont be ordering it again. Whoever cooked it last time loaded it with lettuce and it had no flavour where as previously they were great. I told the owner he said it was new staff he was fairly dismissive of what I said . Went there on a number of occasions since ,however tonight 13/1/22 the order had no taste and was over $40 poor value will be looking elsewhere in future. I believe that they are charging more because they are paying a big rent on that shop.

Tasteless dry fish, tasteless chips

We had snapper which was completely tasteless and dry, a huge serving (we ordered a small serve) of also completely tasteless chips and some potato scallops which were also completely tasteless. My husband had a couple of prawns which he said were OK but when he is hungry, everything tastes great. The only plus was the 2 large slices of lemon included with the meal, as without that, nothing had any taste at all. We are locals but won't ever go back.

So happy to find a Fish & Chip shop that sells fish fillets with GF crumb and GF chips that are actually cooked in a separate deep fryer. Also pleasantly surprised to see Whitebait Fritters on the menu. The GF and non GF food we ordered was all terrific. Couldn't fault it!

Never again.

Very disappointed in the quality of the fish and the prices over the top. I watched the cook take it out of a container looking at it as though it wasn't right. Yep it was old almost mushy and dark. A snapper should be flakey and bright white more than likely been frozen. As for the size who knows it was pieces instead of a nice fillet..

Delicious fish and chips

I had seen some mixed reviews, but as we had always supported this business when it was at the old premises, we thought we would give it a try. Well, it was just as good as ever. Excellent fish and chips to take away, and friendly service.

Once good now awful

Inedible re-deep fried chips; watered down $1 tomato sauce; an unidentifiable piece of grilled fish masquerading as snapper - needed a magnifying glass to locate the 150gm piece - all for $15; fish tacos not properly cooked with awful battered fish and a pretty ordinary chicken burger! YUCK. All for $50! I doubt we will go back again - it used to be a good quality take away but for some reason it has lost its way.

Too pricey for what they offer. Chips are mediocre. Was short of one item on an order a while back, not much of an apology when I phoned back. Next order was not entirely correct either. So shall go elsewhere in future.

I had a fish burger, the fish was done in batter and very fatty, the bun was a big cheap nasty white bun and the salad was basic; the whole thing was oozing with too much dressing.
