We had a great table downstairs right on the water, lovely breeze and view. We ordered scallops for entrees and we all really disliked the strange grilled cheese on them. Then we shared the seafood platter for 2 at $155. The hot battered fish was really delicious, light batter and lovely fish. The prawns were very sweet, calamari and oysters good but the balmain bugs were just boiled, a bit rubbery and boring.
It was good, I have had worse and better but I really felt at $155 it was a good $55 overpriced.
We then went to the rooftop bar to watch the sunset which was a beautiful spot. Will go back to the bar for sure

Positives: venue right on river, staff are lovely, decent variety on menu, I had gnocchi which was quite nice
Not so good: prices, selling fish and chips for $36 the fish was flake which we get at local for $9 with chips. The place isnt aircon so it was muggy hot with mosquitoes biting me.
I suggest you put aeroguard on if you want fish and chips get it outside for alot cheaper. I did like the gnocchi but it had alot of sauce total cost 2 dishes 1 lemonade was $69

The location is great, floating on Noosa River and atmosphere is very laid back casual. We've never been overly disappointed with our choices, the scallops are always good, as is their most generous serving of calamari both entree and main size. We love the watermelon salad as an accompaniment. Great Margaritas too but the staff let this place down. Latest visit, our waitperson was very young, was not familiar with the specials or answers to some of our queries about the menu. Perhaps management are having difficulty finding trained staff during Covid times.
We try to be patient, it's off putting sitting with empty plates left in front of you for longer than acceptable and having to pour your own wine (first world problem I know but, you do pay for that service).

We had a lovely 4 course lunch here last Thursday. We were surprised how quite it was with only a few tables occupied. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and the setting right on the water was beautiful. The entrees (calamari and scallops) were just ok and had we paid full price we would have been disappointed. The mains - sirloin and curry were amazing. Great portions, beautifully presented and so delicious. The desserts (brownie and cheesecake) were presented beautifully and were huge but the brownie was very odd (like a moist cake and nothing like a brownie) and the raspberry around the glass on the cheesecake was way too sweet and there was too much of it. Over all it was a good experience and pretty good vale for money.
Unfortunately when we came back at 7.15 (closes at 8pm) for fish and chips for dinner at the take away window a rude blond haired lady said "good luck I think they are closed" when she realised we were not going into the restaurant. She didn't bother to go and check but instead left us standing there for 10 minutes waiting to be served (while the area was still open, with lights on etc) before a man cleaning the floor finally said "oh no it's quite so we closed early'. So RUDE!!!! and the reason the score is so low!!!!

Our family dined here on a Thursday evening, our meal came out, literally within 4 mins. You may think that’s great, but when your paying top dollar for steak, no way can it be cooked and rested in that time and it showed! The food wasn’t even the same ingredients that were specified on the menu, steak was chewy and my son’s calamari was totally white! Undercooked and inedible. When the waitress took it away, you could hear the chief raise his voice about it.
We left soon after, and to be honest we would not eat here again.
Plenty of other amazing restaurants nearby... don’t waste your money.

Went here with 3 others for an evening meal, the situation of the restaurant is great, but it all goes downhill from there. Over from the UK on holiday staying in Noosa for a week, had some amazing meals up too this one, the four of us all ordered catches of the day, various selections of fish, and prawns mine was supposed to be snapper I have had some fantastic snapper dishes in my time but this was not one of them, came with various salads supposedly but all looked the same like a plate of bean sprouts ( don’t know where the mango was in mine or anyone else’s also the piece of fish was very small and lacked any flavour. I have to say the lady who served was excellent, and did fetch another tomato feta salad free of charge on seeing our disappointment. This meal cost twice the price of any other restaurant we visited in Noosa, and the restaurant itself was like going into a seafront cafe, plastic chairs & tables very uncomfortable and all around my feet chips and other food from previous diners. Very poor and overrated.

We have been in Australia for 3 weeks and I can honestly say this was one of the worst places we have been for a meal. The staff set the sentiment when we arrived making it clear regulars were more important than us. They tried to seat us at a tiny table set up for 2, not for 3. When the waitress went to fetch another chair I said that the table wasn’t big enough. They then moved us to a table of 5 even though tables of 4 were available in better areas. I asked to speak to the manager and had to chase this up twice. She then came over and was nothing short of rude. The food was average and despite saying she would ask the owner to speak to us, he never turned up. The table of 10 next to us were unsurprisingly served way in advance. Disappointing.

The woman at the counter made a deliberate decision not to bother to give the specials menus to our waitperson. Her hand picked one up then put it down as she directed the wp to take us to our table. I saw a sign later, in the bathroom, advertising two courses and a glass of wine for $35. It would have been better value than the fish and chips with inedible coleslaw.
I asked about specials and the wp pointed at the board hanging up high above the tables. It simply listed the 3 kinds of fish available.
We ordered drinks. I ordered tea, which did not arrive with the other drinks. After waiting for some time, I had to ask for my tea which our waitperson brought out and informed me she had had to make herself. It was so watery I checked to see if there actually was a tea bag on the end of the string/tag.
One friend had trouble finding a dish she could eat but the wp checked with the kitchen to find a meal that did not have onion in it. Yes, they could do the burger without onion. It came to the table with onion! The wp told us she had assumed the chef knew that the meal was for the person who could not eat onion, so she had not bothered to repeat the no-onion request.
I was finally at the last of my tea but the wp did not even wait for me, she took coffee orders from the others and headed off.
We regularly meetup with friends for lunch and will certainly not visit or recommend this establishment.

The occasion was a birthday lunch for my wife with extended family and, being Noosa at holiday time, I was wary about getting stuck with an underwhelming experience for an inflated price.
I took my time reading all the reviews and researching the options - including an excursion to Noosa to see for myself. A quick chat to the restaurant manager convinced me this was the right fit and I was pleased to find my instincts were right.
From the time we booked until the final farewell the staff at the Noosa Boathouse were exemplary. The price for the banquet-style menu was fair, as were the alcohol prices, and the food was excellent and servings generous - to the point where we had enough left over (and worth taking home for later) to request a doggy bag.
Thanks for a memorable lunch. Everyone enjoyed it..

Where do I start!? I had my 40th Birthday party here in December. My family and friends are still raving about what a perfect day it was! Walking into the room, the view takes your breath away. There's no better setting for a function. And then the food was just outstanding. The Slow Cooked Queensland Beef Cheek just disintegrated in your mouth and the Grilled fish Penang Curry was honestly just beyond amazing! But the best part of all was the attentive staff. Sarah, Tamara & Ellie went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best day. Nothing was a problem. They made every guest feel like VIP's and the fact that so many family members have gone out of their way to get in contact with me to mention what an amazing day it was is a full credit to the team. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. We will definitely be back. Thanks again!

5 for take away seafood at tables nearby. $25 pack with 2 local fish & serve of chips- Awesome tasting battered fish, but super small pieces (literally 12-15cm long & skinny) Great chips & fair amount- generous lemon pieces. Salad tasty & fresh, calamari tasty. $28 for 7 fresh prawns (300g), looked great but sadly completely flavourless.

The location is amazing, right on Noosa River, however the menu is fairly limited. We ordered half a dozen oysters and the fish cakes for entree, the oysters were not sufficiently chilled (served in the shell on stones rather than on ice like most restaurants). For mains we had fish and chips and the salt and pepper calamari, the fish was almost inedible as it was more skin than fish. The calamari was OK, but much too big a serving with only an iceberg salad served with it.
Wouldn’t go back.

March is a busy time in Noosa and we didn't have a booking but just strolled up to the Noosa Boathouse and asked if they might have a table for two. We had actually had intended to go somewhere else but stopped, read the menu and it looked like a good range of meal options.
The food was very good, well presented and really flavoursome. Their cheesecake dessert was amazing with each mouthful a taste experience. The serves were a good size, just right, and the restaurant is in a great location on the water on the Noosa River at Noosaville.

Dined for dinner 20 November 2020. $38 seafood main was a very dry single pice of fish (either frozen product or not recently fresh and three dry small prawns on a bed of rice, string beans and curry sauce. Tasteless... First time I’ve been disappointed by the Boathouse and a massive fall in quality since August...

I went here with family and friends to celebrate a signature birthday and was so impressed by the stunning views of the Noosa River, the attentive wait staff and delicious food. The feast menu was a surprise with numerous courses all beautifully presented and popping with flavour and texture. Very satisfying. Highly recommended.
