Tasty Share Plates

When the waiter suggested we (a group of 6) share a number of plates and leave the menu selection to him, we were a little dubious but thankfully erred on the adventurous side and heeded his suggestion. We all were pleasantly surprised by the variety (meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian) of very tasty dishes which followed. The service was very good and the prices were good value which made our dinner very enjoyable and, as we are locals, this restaurant will be added to list of places to recommend/return. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Barefoot Bar at Its Best!

We have eaten in here and also ordered takeaway last night during lockdown. The food was sensational - fresh, delicious and generous servings of chicken, seafood and salads in our dishes. The menu is extensive and great value and the staff always have a warm, welcoming manner. This is modern Australian with a hint of Brazilian at its very best! We will definitely be back for more yumminess!!

Love the Views Across the River and the Food and Service

We always frequent Barefoot for breakfast the location, service, coffee and food is simply wonderful. The menu is a little different but still has the basics. I really like the eggs on the butternut pumpkin- so yummy. And not saved with a slab of toast. My wife like the smashed avo and eggs. One thing that I really enjoyed is the delicious coffee. We simply love the staff and of course little "Angus (Gus)", the fluffy little dog that likes to sits and keep a watchful eye over things, unless invited to say hello! We also visited Barefoot for dinner, which was a first for us. It was also must enjoyable. The menu is a little different as well and really tasty. On this occasion, a complementary glass of wine or juice was offered. Certainly do your self a big favour and visit Barefoot for either a breakfast, lunch and dinner- you won't be disappointed.

Could do so much better

I read the reviews and wonder if we are at the same place?! We were a table of 7 mid morning and I have to say the food was very average, prices mid range and service matched the food. We had hollandaise on our eggs but it was difficult to scrape enough into my fork to “taste” it. Coffees took about 20-25 minutes and we had to ask for salt and pepper. Just basic things not a part of the service. A shame really.

Great location. Disappointed with the service received from a very brisk and unfriendly waitress. When I asked what were the gluten free option the response was “have you actually read the menu?” I had read it and there was nothing mentioned about gluten free which is why I asked. Her manner was very rude. Things turned around when a different waitress then started serving us, she was lovely and friendly. Food was average, coffee disappointing.

Lovely staff but food extremely

Lovely staff but food extremely average. Why it’s called barefoot bar and grill I’ll never know 🤷‍♀️. There’s not really a bar and when I see the word grill I’m expecting steaks and things cooked on a grill... the menu definitely doesn’t have any of that. Ordered a Thai Beef salad and it was the worst I think I’ve ever eaten. So salty due to way too much fish sauce in the dressing, greens were limp and soaked in it. The staff were kind enough to give me something else. My husband had a very dry and gluggy linguine and was also terribly disappointed as well😞 Nice atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff but not a true bar and grill and food needs some work.

How lovely to go somewhere for breakfast and feel so welcome and have waitresses with fun personalities. Great coffee and yummy brekkie - chilli hollandaise needs to be on every egg dish - so yum! Very dog friendly and plenty of space outdoors. Thanks Girls!

BEST RESTAURANT IN NOOSAVILLE

Last May we enjoyed a great dining experience at the Barefoot Bar & Grill in Noosaville. This year we decided to revisit as we were on holiday in Noosaville. What a joy ! The food is amazing - fresh produce and beautifully presented. You can either dine in doors or outside and enjoy uninterrupted views of the beautiful Noosa River. The Chef and Owner, Dave is a gem. What a pity he lives in Noosaville and not in Sydney as I would frequent his restaurant every night. Raelene, Dave's partner is front of house and makes everyone feel welcome and relaxed. The menu we enjoyed were shared plates of Thai Fish Cakes and Asian Slaw with Japanese Sesame and Soy Dressing. Mooloolaba King Prawns wrapped in Katafi Pastry served with Tabouleh salad. Coriander and Panko Coated fish with Barefoot fries and Swordfish Sashimi. If you are staying in Noosa take a 5 minute bus ride to Noosaville and enjoy this superb food. It will not disappoint. You will have a great dining experience without breaking the bank. I cannot wait for my next visit.

A casual luncheon.

This restaurant has just reopened after COVID-19. Some renovations and improvements have been done and it is looking good with some fresh decor. There is a new all day menu and drinks list with the restaurant being open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner with breakfast on Saturday and Sunday too. It has a great spacious outdoor area with umbrellas for dining, coffee and drinks. The service is very friendly with a welcoming atmosphere and some light music. It is dog friendly too. The view of the Noosa River is stunning and the chirping of the lorrikeets adds another dimension. We found the menu to be designed for tapas sharing as well as a three course meal. The meals and drinks prices are very reasonable. The table service was prompt and efficient but not intrusive. It is well worth a visit and highly recommended. Rated 9 out of 10.

Big disappointment

Had evidence of booking in an email but they had no record of booking. Were asked for vac evidence yet others walked in sat down and were not asked. People were kept waiting at entrance when staff members were just gassing with customers. Others found table and were not spoken to by staff until we pointed it out to staff - these customers had been there at least 15 mins. Cob loaf was tasteless Shashimi was too thick and all you could taste was lemongrass. Chilli wings were overcooked. Pumpkin salad had more rocket than anything, pumpkin few and far between and you got the odd taste of balsamic vinegar but pretty much tasteless. Shortage of staff especially considering there was a table of 16. Really disappointing considering the reviews we read prior to booking. Would not recommend or return.

A fantastic spot for a meal

Came across this cafe when out looking for coffee one day. The outdoor eating area overlooks the Noosa River and all day there is something happening to watch. The food is a mixture of fish, prawns, meat and chicken with a slight asian or brazillian twist. All fantastic. Beers and wines are also available. Best part is that its dog friendly!

A great light meal restaurant

A great light meal restaurant on the Gympie terrace strip, if you want a lighter meal this is the place to go, or if you want more ensure you order another dish like tapas and share. We had the Japanese chicken and the pork and peanut curry... great flavours however if you like a curry this is not one really it is more like spicy pork no sauce at all. It was however very tasty and enjoyable..... please a curry sauce of sorts if you are to call t a curry though.

Our dinner menu is designed for sharing, the dishes a bit smaller than mains with the idea that our customers are able to taste more dishes and enjoy all the beautiful flavours. Our Pork & Peanut Curry is a very popular dish and is more a dry curry rather than coconut creamy curry. We are often creating new dishes as daily specials, so we hope to see you again soon.

Everything a Noosa place should be

Great location just across from the river, fantastic food and drinks and the staff are friendly but still professional. An all-round good experience, especially if you are looking for somewhere that has a bit of style. The menu is big on fish, but prepared in many ways from sashimi to pasta. And interesting without being overdone. Good ingredients, thoughtfully prepared - careful rather than fussy. Servings are a good size and the food is beautifully presented. The chips are excellent, as are the coffees. The drinkers said the wine list is good and there are many many choices for non-drinkers (a pleasant bonus). If you are a local you are sometimes to go somewhere a bit more stylish than the average cafe. Barefoot does it.

More than 45 Minutes for the French toasts !!

We ordered colds drinks. Then two French toasts and a benedict egg. After 20 minutes, we had the drinks. 25 minutes after the dishes. Nobody told us that the service would be so long. Nobody asked us if the dish was good. The French toasts were dry ... and I think the Hollandaise sauce is not homemade. We will never go back to this restaurant

Beautiful food at very reasonable prices

We were so impressed by the quality of the food that we went to this restaurant 3 times in one week. Our absolute favourite was the crumbed swordfish, so moist and flavoursome. The spring rolls are also excellent, with very tasty mushrooms and a beautiful combination of soy sauce and mayonnaise (clever!). On the third occasion they had run out of them and seeing our disappointment, Sean served us a complimentary entree for 4 of their beautiful seared beef fillet tataki with seaweed. The chicken yakitori skewers were also delicious and the plate was looking beautiful.
