About
Litchfield Cafe is open from June to late October. Litchfield Cafe has reopened to the public as of July 2019 after the building was destroyed by a fire caused by a lightning strike. With a new, updated menu Litchfield Cafe is now serving a mix of fresh, made to order traditional and modern burgers as well as light meals. Litchfield Cafe also has bakery lines such as scones jam & cream, hedgehog slice, apple pie & cream, and our favourite, vanilla slice. We are also still doing our famous mango cheesecake made from local mangoes ripened on the tree for that extra sweetness. Just be sure to get in early as we only do a limited amount of these delicious treets. Coffees, Iced Coffee, milkshakes & the old favourite, spiders are also available. Litchfield Cafe is also licensed so you can enjoy a cold beer or one of our wines from Australia or New Zealand. There is ample parking for all types of vehicles, plenty of seating on the shady lawns or under the fans on the verandah.

We went there for a drink. It was fine. The place is not really fancy. More like a big hangar! Good selection and friendly people.

Lovely little café only a few hundred meters off the main road. Excellent cakes! Stop there and relax under the shades of their trees.

Great place to stop on your day out in the park, make sure the stop is scheduled in. monster burgers abound, keep hold of your cutlery, you're going to need them after the mountains of filling comes free of the buns.

Stopped here for lunch on an AAT tour. As we were a large group it was a buffet but it was nice and fresh, there was plenty to go round and no one went hungry. As the cafe is licensed I also had a cheeky...More

Just 4 kms on from Wangi Falls we discovered this shaded bush setting. In the parking area we discovered 2 huge APT buses. Although concerned about a crowd, we felt the venue and refreshments must be OK for APT to be there. In we went...More

Rustic charm, dirt floor and long wooden tables. All buffet foods in cooled glass topped cabinets ensured freshness and lack of unwanted guests (bugs). Food was well prepared and delicious. The Mango cheese cake wasn't bad either!

Stopped through the Litchfield Cafe on a day trip to the National Park, absolutely famished after swimming in some of the beautiful spots. It was a bit later than lunch so the cafe wasn’t busy, beautiful setting with seats outside and under cover. Plenty of...More

Hi Kathryn, Thanks for taking the time to review our recently reopened Litchfield Cafe. We appreciate you understanding the difficulty in providing freshly prepared food in a remote place. Cheers.

This buffet was part of our tour and the food was very good. The café was not much more than corrugated iron roof dirt floor and a bushies counter (very clean toilets) with picnic tables in a line for eating at. All in all very...More

Fantastic food setup as a bjuffet in an outdoor tin shed! What a surprise. Good wholesome variety of salads with wonderful succulent tender barramundi. As an extra to finish : their delicious mango cheesecake.
