Superb food (mostly meat and truffles dishes, no fish) excellent service, great Kozlovic house vine. Advice:book a table in advance they are always full.

Give yourself a treat and make your way to the Stari Podrum restaurant near Momjan in Croatia. We enjoyed a multi-course meal, complete with truffle-laden starters, a delicious meat and cheese plate, tasty asparagus soup, a creamy pasta dish, a beefsteak grilled to perfection in the fireplace, a strawberry tiramisu dessert, and the obligatory wine grappa to finish the meal.... This is a family restaurant. Food is plain but very-very tasty. It's like you come to you gramma's home. If you go there, please, ask for seasonal soup, Fiorentina steak and local pasta with truffles. You will not be disappointed! You can ask for a half of portion, or share a portion of soup, or ask to have not huge... More

Stari Podrum is worth the visit wherever you are staying in Croatia. Fresh and authentic food done really, really well! I'm still dreaming about their truffle pasta and freshly made gnocci. Make sure you save some room though because the mains and desserts are equally as good! I ate here as a group of 6 and we were all blown... More

I was surprised about local, seasonal dishes they serve. Tidy and nice terrace, helpful personal, good wine and delicious dishes. And reasonable prices, even in Kunas with all that 00, that may look high...

Delicious local, fresh food, pleasant atmosphere, great value for money. I was there with my family (kids 11 and 13) and we all enjoyed it. It is in vicinity of Kozlovic vinery so make sure you visit it once you are there. We will certainly be back!

Soup, gnocchi & pasta were so good that we didn't have any space to put the main meal, we made an big effort to eat the cakes - and it was worth it - best cream cake ever. Very good selection of Istrian wines also. Note: if the restaurant is not in your GPS it's better to enter way to... More

Amazing interior with fireplace working 365 days in a year, beautiful - window closed terrace, nice garden view... Good soup, even better pasta ... no "empty space" for desert :( ... next time ;) Nice talking to owner & daughter ... and other stuff as well. Definitely place to visit, to taste amazing food!

Istrian restaurant with a fancy garden, very good truffle pasta and steaks. Service very friendly and family run. Been here for a couple of times and the quality is constant, always:

The Konoba (restaurant or tavern in Croatian) has a web site, link below. For some reason it has a "ch" (Switzerland) address. Not sure why. Well worth a visit. http://www.stari-podrum.ch/dobrodosli.html
