Very friendly and hospitable family tavern, they truly love what they do. Delicious cuisine with fresh ingredients carefully chosen from local small farms. The most of the clients are repeated and that's saying a lot! Thank you Giannis for the great afternoon!

We ate here 3 times over our holiday, it is in the village of Galatas above the various coastal resorts west of Chania town. A really nice friendly, family atmosphere with a traditional Cretan menu. Extremely good value, and beats the coastal restaurants hands down. House wine good too.

This traditional taverna is wonderful and is recommended for the authentic Cretan experience. Hearty, home-cooked traditional food and if you're lucky, you may meet their pet rooster! Definitely recommended - even the police officer we asked on the way... More

Most importantly you should know that this taverna is open all the year round and is often full of local people,an excellent recommendation.my advice is to read the menu by all means but ask the lovely Maria (the waitresses) what they have to offer which can turn up some delicious suprises! Elefteria and her husband Yannis do the cooking which... More

Very good traditional food for a good price! friendly and warm staff next to a big olive tree. All the meat dishes are very well cooked and served, especially the pork shank! Quite and pleasant environment, open throughout the year. You should definitely try it!

I live in Chania for 3 years now and I am a food lover. One year ago my life became much easier because I discovered Elia! Giannis is the owner of this taverna, cookes with his wife. Very fresh ingredients with most delicious taste! Ask for the specials of the day. Don't miss his amazing yogurt, and the porky on... More
