We had dinner here on this visit to Hydra. Tomato balls (yum!), moussaka, chicken in the oven and red house wine. The flavours in the moussaka and chicken were fantastic - courtesy of the slow cooking method that introduces so much flavour over time. Great service - quick, efficient and also taking time to talk to the customers. Highly recommended.

Typically you are advised on an expensive choice, like red snapper, nothing special. Squid and shrimps fresh? If you are a tourist go somewhere else, where get a decent treatment. These guys know you will not come back to Hydra.

We had order pasticcio, kritharaki, fish soup and fresh fish from the day. All food was excellent and service was very good. It's in a nice location near a plateia.

We were looking for fish and the waiter promised (literally) that was fresh. The menu had a high price (20 euros for a salad, allegedly fresh grilled fish, ouzo and fruit) for the Athenian standards but we thought it would be worth. To disguise the frozen, scarce fish, they over fried it. The white wine was coarse and not cold,... More

We stopped in here at the recommendation of our hotel concierge and were pleasantly surprised. Couple points to make here: -Prices were solid for just a bout all dishes -Some dishes were not yet available, assuming because this woman knows how to cook and so slow oven cooking takes time to get the right flavor a and textures. -We were... We had chicken with lemon, escargot with tomato sauce, and eggplant stuffed with feta and onion. Outstanding. We would definite come back.

We chose Annita's as it in a very open space and one evening we didn't want to feel hemmed in one of the narrow alleyways where many restaurants are situated. Most other diners were not Greek - large groups of Americans, Italians, Scandinavians which maybe should have been a warning. Also the fact they offer set tourist menus was not... More

Given that we own a holiday home in Hydra, we have had the chance over the years to try all restaurants and tavernas on the island: Annita has never disappointed us and it keeps on being our number 1 preference, especially now that good tavernas are becoming rare, giving their place to Italian mediocre pizzerias or pathetic souvlaki joints. Her... More

If you look for a fancy restaurant go sonewhere else. If you are a family and want to try traditional fresh greek food without spending a lot of money, annita will be a good choice. The servings are huge, can always be shared by 2, the prices are lower than average: greek salad 7,5 eur, pasta with stewed pork 7... More

Nice spot with a lot of locals passing by outside. BUT bored service, not good food. Owner more interested in smoking (just next to my table).
