We went here as a family of 7 with 3 smaller children. At 7:30 pm we were the first guests. At 9pm practically every table was taken - and this on a Thursday. Here you have many a choice for your culinarical taste buds from...the Toscana tradition. The meals were served quickly, nicely arranged, tasting just to our liking, including the children's meals. The waiters friendliness definitely helped to create an accommodating atmosphere.More

We had been there for dinner and enjoyed very good food. Excellent starters, main dish has been meat, also very good. Quite interesting are the prices: Aqua 0.75l 1€, Beer mid size 6€...Waiters chaotic without really caring for guests. Waiting 30 mins for the invoice...is definietly too long.More

Back at La Corteccia for two evenings. Pasta, meat and wine list very good. The owner really cares about his wines which come at perfect temperature (very rare in the summer!) from a special cellar. Pasta and salumi very good, steaks and lamb simply excellent....My wife and I really like the place and will certainly visit La Corteccia again in the near future.More

This is a place where you can eat good food for a moderate price. Friendly staff and quick service considering the place was full.

We went here for dinner (family group of 8) twice in August whilst on holiday. It's a lovely setting out the back; the service is friendly (although the few staff are very busy, so can be slow). The food was very good - great steaks...(the speciality is 1kg so watch out), the "cockerel cooked on bricks" was really good - worth trying. Also they don't rip you off - water was €1 euro a bottle etc.More

My companion and I went to this restaurant to try their famous Pollo al Mattone. It was a summery evening, and as we spent time there more and more young local families came to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. No one was loud, the...children were well-behaved, the fathers doting, and the mothers relaxed. The food is all good. The bread and wine are served quickly, but we did not feel rushed and enjoyed the entire experience. This trattoria is quite large but cozy, informal but gracious, clean but homey.More

Looking for a local lunch house at reasonable prices and excellent food, I believe this is it. Located on the way to Lucca from Pietrasanta...

This is a lovely trattatoria in Massarosa. Our table of eight had the "Tuscan Experience" dinner and enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend this restaurant.

It's a cozy place. Very nice menu for all taste. Lovely pasta and good steaks. For sure it's a place to go back. Since it's a busy place try to book ahead.

We had a very nice meal in this busy restaurant. We had mixed starters to share (lots of them!). The main courses felt more authentic than the usual pizza and pasta combo-my youngest niece had to have chicken and chips and loved it! A mistake...with some of the mains was soon rectified.More
