Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the spice house randomly for a late lunch as we were nearby and looking for some nice food. Stumbled across the spice house on TripAdvisor and walked in for lunch. Greeted very friendly by staff, the restaurant is spacious, tranquil and has a...calm vibe. Great menu options, salads were fresh and delicious. Also had tacos which were just as nice as the salads. Staff were excellent and very attentive with good English communication. Overall great value for money, highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing and delicious meal overlooking the pool and ocean.More

We are thrilled to have found this gem of a restaurant in Phu Quoc, the setting is incredibly peaceful and romantic, and Vang was a fantastic, friendly waiter! All staff were really welcoming and we were pleased to meet the owner when he visited our...table for a nice chat. The food and wine here are excellent, with a wide selection. We are from Vancouver Canada, and we would highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal in a lovely setting!More

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Cassia Cottage for 10 nights. The grounds were very lush and tropical. Although it was fully booked, we virtually had the two pools closest to our room to ourselves, perfect. Our room was lovely with a sea view,...a good size and an outdoor shower. Excellent breakfast, amazing choice, both hot and cold. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful but one in particular was outstanding, Giang. She greeted us each morning with a beautiful smile and could not do enough for us, a very caring and wonderful woman My only negative is that the bar is rather basic and not the most comfortable place to watch the sunsetMore

We were fortunate to enjoy two cooking classes whilst staying in Phu Quoc. For each class, we picked two starters and a main. Trien, the chef, was an excellent teacher and we were able to cook fabulous meals with beautiful fresh ingredients, many from Cassia...Cottage's gardens. We have done cooking classes before but these are the most engaging classes we have ever experienced.More

Beside the beach is the Cassia Cottage Spa which has a variety of treatments. I opted for the back, neck and shoulder massage which was given to me by Phueng. It was amazing! She was very professional and the massage really helped ease away any...stress. The Spa has an offer of 20% discount if you book your treatment before 2pm. My wife and I spent 7 marvelous days in this unique cottage. The history of the hotel is magic, the people are super friendly, the food is amazing, the buildings and rooms are very convenient and equiped with a decent luxury. The beach is amazing,...including the beautiful garden with many fantastic flowers and all 3 pools. We loved very much their ecological strategy! The only thing that needs a little attention is the condition of some of the sun loungers on the beach.More

You’re right: We tried to find a company to rebuild the polyester woven sunloungers. It seems a [eco] waste to toss their steel frames away. We must replace them all this season. Waiting for you to return to check, as you said!

We were told about the Spice House from previous guests. My husband and are real foodies and the Spice House sounded like a good bet. Off the Main Street down a winding road ending at the beach. We went for massages up this little road...and from there walked to the Spice House. The road itself was charming. Then we entered the property. This charming cobblestone path took us through white and rose coloured bougainvillea and lush green plantings. We knew we were headed for a good meal. We arrived 15 before sunset and enjoyed the sky over cocktails by the pool before dinner. We had a wonderful, friendly waiter Vang who was eager to please. His English was admirable. I chose the pomelo and squid appetizer while my husband had spring rolls. I must admit I agree with other reviews that the plate was heaping with pomelo which did not have much flavour and very little squid. The morsels I did have were fabulous. I did mention that it came up short in that regard and I was asked if I would like to order more squid. I would have preferred it just came with it! On the other hand my husband’s spring rolls suggested to him by Vang were scrumptious!! That was a winner. For main course I had the Khemer fish in tumeric garlic chili all in a fantastic coconut broth and bok choy… just delicious. My husband order various seafood in spices and tomato broth. He said it too was delicious. Wine was good. Desert was a crème brûlée with spices. Very good. The atmosphere is really lovely and the food did not disappoint except for the squid. We will definitely try to return before our return to Canada. A special shout out to Vang!More

Laid back charm. The position is beautiful, the pool overlooks the sea and the surrounding tropical gardens are very natural. This is a place to just relax, plenty of loungers for everyone, no need to rush. The restaurant both for breakfast and dinner is fantastic....The wine is pricey, but it’s good. Cocktails are reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious and adequate, this place is about the garden, pool, sea, beach or enjoying a drink at the outside bar.More

Beautiful ambiente & really delicious food! We enjoyed a table at the poolside and the menu has for everyone something to offer. We decided to order 2 vietnamese tapas with a side and a main to share with another side. The prawn curry and also...the bbq pork ribs were fantastic. Really rich in flavour and perfect with the black rice. After that we had the Ban Xeo to share - which was really really nice, since they also put mung bean in it it was super fresh and yet filling. Would definitely recommend it.More
