Good New Year eve

We had a wonderful NYE dinner on the beach. We had chosen the thai set menu special at 1200 Thb with a wine bottle from Australia. Food was excellent and, not so often in Thailand, all guests were served at the same time. We have enjoyed then the fireworks on the beach for these happy new year celebration

Excellent Thai cuisine

This restaurant is located in the Fisherman's Village next to Coco Tams. All the staff wear traditional Thai outfits. The restaurant itself is very much of traditional Thai look. The food is excellent with a good variety. Service and prices are also very good. Would recommend a visit.

Good location and atmosphere

Ate here for dinner while staying at Peace Resort hotel in Bophut, near to Fisherman’s Village. Location on the beach front was exclusive and the service very good although our server did struggle a bit with English. We had a mix of Thai starters and main dishes to share which were reasonably priced and delicious. Was a good start to our time in Koh Samui.

Keep an eye on your food

I can't say too much about my Food, I had only a few mouths full. I was Chatting to a young member of our group who was sitting next to me, when I turned back around they had taken my food away! The menu was limited and almost everything was spicy. The drinks menu was also limited. There are no side dishes you all get plain rice to share. No desserts. My food wasn't meant to have any spicy bits but I bit into a couple of pepper corns which was hidden. We sat outside which was so dark, had to get torches to read the menu. I was lovely all the restaurants we had visited having pictures next to the food. It was great knowing what you were ordering. This place had no pictures. I'm currently hungry and angry I didn't even get to eat my food.

Bad experience

Went for diner. We ordered tum yum gong which was inedible super salty and very small bowl. Chicken satay was nice. We ordered 2600 bht lobster which was undercooked. Then padthai which was horrible and tasted like tomato katchup. Bill was 4000 bht for 2. We had diner after that meal!!!

The whole place is absolutely shocking. We had two lots of spring rolls to start. They were dreadful and tasted like they had been frozen. The mains took over 1 hour to come and when they did they were accompanied with shocking service. They had 2 out of our 3 mains wrong and the chicken was some of the worst quality I have ever seen. They served us pork instead of chicken unknowingly which could be a potential issue if you are Muslim and the other order was entirely wrong. When we raised the fact the orders were wrong, the waiters were rude, shouty and incompetent. I would never return here under and circumstances and I would wholeheartedly recommend staying clear.

Too busy filling tables at the expense of seated customers

What a shame, this restaurant looked delightful. We were shown to our table and then ignored for 20 minutes. We asked three times for someone to take our drinks order but was unsuccessful. The policy of this restaurant seems to be to prioritise the waiting diners outside. The staff continued to show new customers to tables and were therefore too busy to take the orders or serve seated customers. After about 30 minutes, we gave up and went elsewhere. Shame because the restaurant did look good

Terrible service, bland food - avoid at all costs

Visited this evening with my family. We had the worst meal of our two week holiday. Very disappointed as the restaurant looked so lovely. Food came before our drinks which we had to ask several times for. My son and I had sweet and sour chicken, it was bland, cold and the chicken was questionable. Husband had chicken with cashew nuts again it was cold and it was swimming in grease. None of us ate our meals, we raised this when the bill arrived the staff became quite confrontational. It was grim avoid at all costs.

Beautiful place We let ourselves be charmed by the place but then the food was bad but bad...! We returned our 2 Tom Yum soups which were really horrible even though we eat them regularly in lots of restaurants, we only paid for our daughter's water and fries Honestly go your way

A great place for a Thai meal

A lovely restaurant with excellent Thai food in Fisherman’s Village Bophut. Service was quick and efficient and the Thai menu had all the favourites to excite the taste buds. Well worth a visit and the cost was very reasonable even with wine which tends to be expensive in Thailand.

Don't trust them

we had a fine dinner in this restaurant und thats why we thought, to hae a take way from theer some days later. Whatr an awful experience! The steamed rice was the only eatabel dish. Chicken hard an warmed up, vegetables nearly raw and all that for the price of a menu at the restaurant. So be careful on behalf of take away !

Nice food but service was slow.

We came across this as we were unable to get into beach bar next door. We got a table on the beach so we were able to watch the fire show next door. The food was good but the service was slow with the waitresses seemingly not well trained- which seems the theme of the other reviews.

I can't understand why this place has such good reviews. Maybe it's better in the evening. We came at 2:00 p.m. - it doesn't open until 2:00 p.m. - all the staff (there were plenty of them) acted disinterested and preferred to chat rather than look after the guests. Reordering beer was forgotten even though there was nothing going on, food was below average. We've eaten much better many times in the last month! Reordered hot sauce - it wasn't spicy. Food took a long time, OK, the starters weren't bad. Mixed starters - well, everything was fried... The friendliness of the staff should also change... Conclusion: everything needs a lot of improvement

Gone downhill

Been visiting here since 2017 on the 5 holidays we have had in Koh Samui, used to be one of our favourites. In 2022 post pandemic, it certainly wasn’t as good as it used to be. Fast forward to 2023 and Krua Bophut has become a fast food restaurant with hotel restaurant prices. Glass of wine is 390 baht, everywhere else is 220 baht. Food order taken and food arrived minutes later. Chicken Pad Thai = chewing gum noodles. Prawn pad Thai = 4 prawns Chicken Massaman = chewy chicken thighs Chicken and cashew nuts = swimming in oil. These dishes were about 380 baht, we had better in Chaweng at a bar for 140 baht per dish. Menus now on a wipe clean board as opposed to the lovely menus they had before. Shame to see this place go down hill but still charging prices as if they were top of there game. Better places to go.

I had the opportunity to eat at Bophut Kitchen because it was a holiday because the restaurant was close to my accommodation so I came to try it. First, I was impressed by the beautiful shop, good atmosphere, beautiful view next to the sea. Order food for the staff to recommend. The staff is good at recommending food. Ordered food does not take long to wait because you come to eat at 6 p.m. The food we ordered was delicious. I would like to recommend this restaurant, Bophut Kitchen.
