Been visiting here since 2017 on the 5 holidays we have had in Koh Samui, used to be one of our favourites. In 2022 post pandemic, it certainly wasn’t as good as it used to be. Fast forward to 2023 and Krua Bophut has become...a fast food restaurant with hotel restaurant prices. Glass of wine is 390 baht, everywhere else is 220 baht. Food order taken and food arrived minutes later. Chicken Pad Thai = chewing gum noodles. Prawn pad Thai = 4 prawns Chicken Massaman = chewy chicken thighs Chicken and cashew nuts = swimming in oil. These dishes were about 380 baht, we had better in Chaweng at a bar for 140 baht per dish. Menus now on a wipe clean board as opposed to the lovely menus they had before. Shame to see this place go down hill but still charging prices as if they were top of there game. Better places to go.More

The food was pretty good. We were seated outside on the beach when the rains came in. We moved inside without being able to finish our meals. Once inside there were no tables available and the staff ignored us completely. Very unfriendly service. And after...complaining they did nothing to compensate or make up for it.More

Our hotel booked us in here for dinner last night and we found the whole experience fantastic The setting is magic and our table was right on the beach The service from start to finish was amazing and could not be faulted The food was...excellent and the portion sizes were large Red duck curry was our favourite but everything was perfect Highly recommendedMore

Going to The Krua Restaurant was a wonderful experience. Beautiful food, service & location. Make sure to book in advance so get a great table on the beach. A must when you visit Koh Samui! Their fish is fresh and the menu amazing!

The location is great and the staff was friendly. After we received fairly quickly the appetizers, we had to wait a long time to get the main courses. The two curries we ordered had a similar taste of oyster sauce and fish paste while we...ordered a chicken green curry and a vegetarian red one! Both were too salty. Overall a disappointing experience and they should seriously improve vegetarian and vegan offers.More

Plesant evening - great location, food was nice. Staff clearly very busy so a little less frinedly than other resturants we visited.

A fantastic place with incredible food. Location is stunning where you can dine on the beach with feet in the sand. It’s easy to find also as it is right next to coco tams. Attentive and well trained staff. The red curry is delicious and...worthy of a try. This restaurant has it all and can highly recommend.More

We went for dinner with 2 families incl 4 kids. Had a table on the beach next to its more present neighbour. Amazing food and everybody loved it. Would really advise to go there and enjoy all fireworks on the beach from its neighbour.

The whole place is absolutely shocking. We had two lots of spring rolls to start. They were dreadful and tasted like they had been frozen. The mains took over 1 hour to come and when they did they were accompanied with shocking service. They had...2 out of our 3 mains wrong and the chicken was some of the worst quality I have ever seen. They served us pork instead of chicken unknowingly which could be a potential issue if you are Muslim and the other order was entirely wrong. When we raised the fact the orders were wrong, the waiters were rude, shouty and incompetent. I would never return here under and circumstances and I would wholeheartedly recommend staying clear.More

This was a good meal. We ordered the stir fried soft shell crab after seeing it recommended here. It was excellent (like a tempura). We also enjoyed the mango and papaya salad.

Excellent Thai food in perfect surroundings on the beach dining if you want. I’m sure as it’s so very good it’s best to book but we managed to get a table. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was very reasonably priced...as were the drinks . I’m sure we will return....compliments to the chef......More

We went twice as enjoyed it so much the first time. A real authentic feel from menu, decor and staff uniform. Loads of choice. The soft shell crab stir fry is excellent.
