Restaurant has a breathtaking view. Very good friendly service though food was average for the hefty price you pay.

We had a very enjoyable lunch at La Varangian Sue Morne in Chamarel. Food is ok considering there are so many tourists on the day of our visit. What makes this restaurant stands out is it location, setting and its garden. Pity we didn't have sufficient time to enjoy our coffee and admire the view longer. Would love to return... More

I know this excellent restaurant from the 1990's. Was at that time a lovely cosy place to be with lots of charm. Prices were affordable and it was a little "museum" with lots of little things to discover. I have been there now and then every two years and have seen the place expand with falling quality in the uniqueness... More

I have been to this restaurant several times over the past 15 years and all I can say is that it has maintained its high standards... the superb location, great food and service make it a must on every visitor's list.

Considering that this restaurant is highly praised, even by Prince Edward, I was disappointed with the level of service. Finding bird poop on my fork did not auger well for a great experience. Our sparkling water was served hot and when we asked for ice we were told it had run out, only to see diners at another table being... More

I was wondering why so many tourist buses stop there. From the car park you have to go down quite a few stepsThe place look great, nice and cosy. All wooden structures. The view also is great. The food was so and so.And the price not so and so.Coming for the view and have a drink and then go down hill to chamarel.

On our way to the Seven Colored Earths in Mauritius we stopped for half an hour for a short rest and had a great time on Creole coffee and coconut ice cream and marveled at the views from the mountain to the sea. Recommended!

On the more expensive side for food (thanks Brexit) but well worth it. Very tasty Mauritian currys. What a view!
