Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Whenever I come to Kawaguchiko, I’ll definitely visit Fujiyama cookie and each time I spend over $100 on gifts for my friends and family. The quality hasn’t changed for years! Extremely yummy cookies and it looks so cute!! Highly recommend the Matcha and strawberry flavored...ones but the rest are also very yummy.More

Right by the cable car entrance is this inviting store. You can buy individually wrapped cookies for Y140 which come in different flavors or you can buy them as a boxed set. They offer samples. The cookies can come with frosted tops (snow) or plain....I tried all flavors and sadly I didn't like any of them. I know people like the earl grey flavor, but I didn't even like that ---I found these cookies to be really dry. I could use my credit card if my total went to at least Y1000, otherwise, it's cash only. If you miss this store, you can pick some up at the Kawaguchiko train station gift shop.More

I thought these might just be a kawaii (cute) cookie, but to my delight they are also well flavoured and enjoyable. I tried the matcha and strawberry flavours.

We came here after biking around the lake so we were quite hangry. Having said that these Mount Fuji shaped cookies, in a variety of flavors (though I am partial to the vanilla one with with a white chocolate snowcap) were great. They also come...as boxed sets in a variety of sizes to bring back a somewhat unique gift that will last a bit, make it through security and easy to pack. They also have soap so be careful! Just shared one of those boxes here in the states with friends and I have to say that they packed well, looked great, and were a tasty end to our meal together.More

Purchased several boxes for gifts. Cookies with Mt Fuji look! Simple and authentic. Tried the strawberry and green tea versions of the cookies - like the strawberry better.

We were attracted by the nice smell and the cute cookies. The cookies were delicious and full of flavour. There were a variety of flavours to choose from. We regretted not buying more home.

Visited this place when I came down from Mount Kachi Kachi Ropeway. Buy from this shop if you can - it is cheaper than buying from the shops at Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal.

Typical Japanese bakery which has good variety and well presented products. The price is steep which is puts itself in the souvenir category.

These cookies are rather fun and I am sure delicious but they are simply over priced to fleece the tourists. A single cookie is like JPY140 (a GB£1) and boxes are not a lot better value either. It was nice to see them being made...and to see the various flavours but just a shame they are a rip off. A tip to management: Lower the price and you would sell way more product and have happier visitors.More

Cute cookies with many flavors. Certain flavors taste better than the others. I like the Earl Grey flavor. Quite pricey for a cookie.

The shop located just in front of mt kachikachi ropeway. It looked cute from the outside so we came in. They sell mainly cookies with my fuji shapes. The packaging is nice for a souvenir and you can also buy 1 buy 1 just to...try. We tried the walnut, almond and earl grey flavor. The cookies taste good but it is quite on the pricey range.More

Not really as good for eating - they don't have seats or anything - but possibly nice for souvenirs. They haven't been opened yet though, so who knows.
