What a delightful find, situated in luscious green manicured gardens by a river this beautiful old Queenslander home turned restaurant and pantry is just superb. Disappointed. We have visited Mavis Kitchen on many occasions, however, on this occasion, we were very disappointed. Nouvelle Cuisine prevailed. The meat and pasta dish was poor. The meat was so small it was almost invisible. The pasta was under-cooked and the juice/gravy was difficult...to see.More

Set in a beautiful Queenslander surrounded by sustainable gardens, spreading farm trees and fairy lights Mavis’ Kitchen never disappoints. On this visit we had the seven course degustation. We are yet again floored by how well planned the menu is. How fresh and gorgeous the...produce is. The chef/s handle this food with loving care; producing dishes that are so well balanced and delicious but also beautifully presented. Also, making pantry items such as one of the best chilli jams that is not just chilli but has a depth of flavour. The wait staff is friendly and welcoming. They know the menu very well and make us feel like old friends visiting each time we come. We eat out in this region often and there are many excellent restaurants. We are blessed that the standard of food here is so high. Mavis’ Kitchen’s food, staff and ethos are at the top of the list for us. Thanks again for yet another top night.More

Outstanding lunch and service, in a picture perfect setting. The menu changes with the season and is customised to match fruits, vegetables, herbs etc that grow in their organic gardens.

Disappointing experience service was poor staff disinterested. Singing ‘sic’ and whistling from kitchen just grating. Duck was excellent and my friend loved the Pav. Was looking forward to this but unfortunately despite the lovely house and setting is not somewhere we’ll return.

Amazing everything ! went for a girlfriends birthday lunch with a big group. Every meal was delicious, great service. Beautiful location. Definitely going again.

We were there for lunch and it was terrible. Food was old and heated, bland and sad. Won’t be back ever. The service was good with friendly staff and lovely setting. We heard so much about this venue, it was really disappointing.

The perfect lunch spot in the countryside. Gorgeous ground and even better food (absolutely delicious and lovely presentation!). Went here to celebrate my birthday with husband and baby and had the best time. Can recommend the pavlova for dessert- yum!

Breakfast was average sourdough with a poached egg on top of bacon and nothing else. No sauce no greens nothing. Crossiant was se.rved with nothing and when we asked of there was any jam they said no just butter. Not worth the money in my...mind wished we had just stayed home for mothers day breakfast.More

We love Mavis' Kitchen and have visited at least 10 times. Never disapoints and now we are delighted to see all the exciting and interesting improvements that have been recently made.
