We booked into the Barley Mow as a convivial group if about 20 adults and 10 kids for Sunday lunch. They were absolutely brilliant. The food was delicious, with portions generous enough to feed a small bison. Great selection of ales and ciders, and surroundings...More

One of the best nights out we've had for ages. Possibly the best welcome we've had in a pub. Great selection of interesting local beers, the best steak, ale and stilton pie I've ever had and terrific live music. Everything a Saturday night should be.

Had a lovely meal tonight at the Barley Mow! Very quirky little place a little way out, but well worth the trip! The monster burger is delicious but huge! Tuna steak also very good. Not fancy, but well cooked and served by really friendly staff....More

Very pleasantly surprised. What a little gem hidden away. Best welcome we have had in a pub and food to match. Give it a try.

Does what it says on the sign, no pretensions just good honest beer and pub grub. Fish cakes were very good, chilli lacked a bit of bit. Well worth a visit

The Barley Mow is a lively and eccentric Free House located in the beautiful village of Bonsall. Famous for the 'World Championship Hen Races', and for being the most likely place to be abducted by aliens according to UFO magazine ! Fine food, great ale & one of the best live music venues in the area !
