It’s our 1st time in the Barossa & hubby & I wanted a multi course tasty lunch with vineyard views, nice wine & warmth on a cold day. The Feed Me Barossa was amazing value with so many chef chosen meals arriving throughout our afternoon & tended to by the lovely staff regularly for wine & beer top ups. We really enjoyed everything while admiring our view through huge glass windows. My expectations were exceeded & even have leftovers to eat later, but I definitely won’t need dinner tonight!

If you want a place to stop for lunch where you can admire the picturesque landscape of the Barossa while lunching on beautifully balanced and delicate flavours featuring local produce, at an affordable price, this restaurant will satisfy the palette and the wallet. We chose to sit inside on a sunny day with a biting wind outside. We chose the "Feed me Eden" from the menu, which provided enough for us through 4 courses, although one of two extra pieces of bread would have not gone astray to pick up the last of the sauces and juices. With a wide variety of wines and beverages on offer to complement the dishes, we found ourselves satiated, and declared the meal an 'elegant sufficiency'. Staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive.

We went there for our anniversary and they did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we were greeting with friendly staff who were prompt on getting us seated and drinks in hand. We went with the feed me like a Barossan which was delicious from start to finish. There was not a dish we did not like, and t does help that we love all food, so if you’re someone who is a bit particular with what types of food you eat this might not be for you. The wait staff were professional and went above and beyond to make our overall dining experience one to remember. From checking we were satisfied with our food to topping up our drinks, even when a big flew into one of your glasses they were swift in getting us a new one. 10/10 would go and recommend other to dine there too.

You will need to manage your expectations about this place. If you are looking for an intimate, fine dining experience with a more personable approach then can I suggest you look elsewhere. The decor is somewhat clinical and has a crowded, almost 'cafeteria' feel. This was very evident when we went to check out the venue the day before our booking. A tour bus was in and the place was very busy and noisy. Granted this was a weekend day and midweek may be different, We had booked into the Harvest Kitchen to celebrate a milestone birthday which was duly noted on the booking form. It was then dissapointing that this was not acknowledged at all when we arrived or during the whole lunch. The food quality and quantity was ok but just lacked that 'wow' factor that should have been there for the price paid. The service was good with the servers being very friendly and explaining each dish. One other aspect that I disliked was that when paying by credit card you were presented with a screen by your server where you had to select a tip percentage. Given the price already paid for the "Choice of Five Dishes' menu this was a bit unexpected and confronting.

It pains me to write this review, but today this restaurant put themselves ahead of their guests and were completely inflexible in their approach to my daughter's food allergies. We have dined here before and it's been great and they've always been very accommodating to my daughter by allowing her to select something from the children's menu which has food she knows and is comfortable to eat. But today we were greeted with a firm 'NO' from the manager who stated that as she was over 12 she couldn't select anything from there and had to choose from the main menu where there was nothing she was comfortable to eat. We said that we'd dined here before and you'd always been happy for her to eat something from the children's menu, but we got 'things have changed here and we no longer do that'. I'm not sure what changed, as the menu was the same as the last time we were there.... We did consider leaving but our daughter said we should stay and she'd try something, but it was clear she was unhappy and started having tears rolling down her cheeks as there was nothing she wanted to eat, despite trying. I'm not sure why this restaurant on the manager on this day decided to take this approach, but to have taken it which led to my daughter being upset is unforgivable, especially when they have a menu available that other children in the restaurant were dining from. And to top this all off, they charged $55 for the privilege for my daughter to have a few chips and a tiny bit of chicken that didn't have any dressing on it...... This review is not meant to put you off as it's a great place to dine, but in my view it's a restaurant that has showed a complete lack of understanding of how food allergies impact people and for us, this is the last time we'll dine at what has always been a nice place to visit.

Hi Richard, Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback regarding your experience with us and my sincere apologies that the enforcement of one of our policies has cause such distress for your daughter. I will be sharing your feedback with our management team from the weekend and we will ensure that this is used as a learning tool for future situations. I apologies again that more was not done on the day to ensure that your daughter had a better expericence with us and we are sorry to have lost you as a customer.

When my husband and I entered the lady at the wine tasting bar rudely asked us if we had a booking (it was the tone she used that put us a bit off). We were then referred to a waitress who seated us and only given the drinks menu...took about 10 mins to get the food menu given to us. Service was lacking a little. We had the olives, corn, broccoli, mullet and chicken. All were lacking in flavour and flavour combinations for each dish weren't quite right. We even asked for a side of aioli to add flavour chicken but that also tasted flat. We didn't feel it was worth $55 per person.

The 4 of us dined here after being heavily recommended by family. A great place to dine on the verandah on a beautiful Summers day. The waitress was excellent in her description of the options available & her service too. A great selection of beers & wines to compliment the food too! We chose the 'eat like a Barossan' option where the kitchen sets the dishes from their range after we advise of any dietry needs. The meals were very satisfying for the 4 of us, so much we took home most of the last dish served,. Our stay was a little over approx 2 hours. My only advice to HK is to be better at timing the delivery of the dishes - at one stage we hadn't finished the served plate, let alone what we had on our own plates when the next course was upon us! After advising the waitress if things could be slowed down, which she graciously obliged with, it then went to the other extreme where we waited about 10 minutes after finishing each dish before the next round appeared! Having said that, the overall taste, presentation & quantity was excellent, kudos. We will return!

This winery is an outstanding destination, offering exceptional service and a friendly staff that goes above and beyond. The wine tastings are not to be missed; they are both informative and engaging, providing great insights into the selections. Additionally, the on-site restaurant, Harvest Kitchen, serves delicious food that perfectly complements the wine experience. Overall, it's a fantastic place and worth the stop.

The four of us really enjoyed the delicious food we were served st our lunch. Even one of our party who was unsure of what was going to be on offer enjoyed his lunch. The staff were very helpful and recommended the perfect choice of wines to go with our lunch. We chose the $69 eat like a Barrosan. A great variety and plenty of food. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Ordered 2 x Feed Me Like A Barossan as was recommended to us. We were told that we could make dietary requests and the barossan was a lot of food and adding sides would not be needed. We asked for no tomato and one of our dishes was nothing but tomato - thanks for that. The dishes were also very small and we did leave quite hungry. Quality of food was okay but nothing special. Braised hutton vale lamb was good though. Cocktails and service was the highlight. Nice place and location. Might consider going back but would never choose the barossan again.

Hi Keto, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience and I am really sorry to hear that your visit was less than satisfactory. Our Feed Me Like a Barossan experience should definitely not have anyone leaving us hungry and if something has gone missing from your lunch I do apologise and would love the opportunity to correct this for you. You should also not have received a dish you specifically requested not to have and this should have been corrected at the time. Please feel free to contact the venue directly and we would be happy to talk with you about your experience. Cheers Pete

This is an awesome venue to have a delicious lunch and food experience. The 'Chef selection' for lunch was most enjoyable and the wait staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Great place to experience some very different flavours. Loved our meals. Good sized serves. Nice wines to accompany the food.

This was my first time at Harvest Kitchen. It was, without question, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Pete has created a space that is comfortable, welcoming and where they serve the BEST hummus I’ve ever had. The beef cheek, garfish and asparagus were all simply delicious! I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend Harvest Kitchen to everyone near or far.

Whilst in the Barossa Valley for a few days I really wanted a nice lunch at a winery with accompanying wines. It was a Tuesday and I had a lot of trouble finding somewhere that was open…most it seems shut Mondays, Tuesdays, and often Wednesdays. Having got a list from the tourist office in Tanunda I got a table at Harvest Kitchen. It couldn’t have been a better choice. We had the Feed me like a Borossan menu, where the chef serves you his choices for the day. The food was delicious. The wine recommendations from the waitress were perfect. The views….even though rainy….were beautiful. It was just what I’d hoped it would be…if not better.

Really accommodating staff- friendly, knowledgeable explained how the menu worked. The food delivered- tasty sharing dishes with lots of variety in taste and structure with a wonderful view overlooking the Barossa Valley. Highlights were the corn and home made hummus . Dishes came out at the right pace as 5 courses. Made room for the Toffee popcorn & vanilla ice cream. Thank you all.

The food, wines, ambience, service, all top notch. They fed us Like a Barossan and the meals were all delicious, creative, fresh and vibrant. We’ve not enjoyed a meal like this for a long time and can’t wait to get back! Don’t hesitate…book a table! Wonderful value for money as a bonus!
